“Great food, great view”
Reviewed May 13, 2013

Wonderful small restaurant with water view. It's a bit hidden in the back of the La Playa hotel, but worth hunting it down. I had dinner and breakfast here while on vacation and both meals were wonderful. Service was great and I was not rushed. I could have spent all day sitting there watching the water. Some folks were there just for drinks and others were having full meals.

Service charge of 15% is included in the bill. My dinner server pointed it out, my breakfast server did not. It's clearly on the bill though, so just read your charges and you will see it there.

I was staying at the Intercontinental and was able to walk along the beach to the restaurant. It's close to El San Juan and Ritz Carlton hotels as well. If you are eating breakfast at any of these hotels you are a fool. Get outside and go to La Playita or any of the numerous breakfast restaurants in the area. You will save a pile of money and have a much better experience.

“Great chill beachside restaurant.”
Reviewed May 12, 2013

Loved La Playita! Took my mom there for a late lunch. The atmosphere is very laid back and its located right on the beach. We ordered Shrimp mafongo, ham and cheese wrap with coco frio. Everything was delicious! The servers are all very friendly and helpful. Hector was the best! Thanks Hector for being so patient with my mom. We even had a visit from a little bird who ate right out of our hands. Would definitely go back on my next visit to Puerto Rico.

“Great location, tasty, hidden and relaxed”
Reviewed May 12, 2013

What a gem. This little restaurant is hidden inside a cute boutique hotel. We didn't stay there, but would walk over from El San Juan hotel. Dinner at sunset (literally on the water) was beautiful. It's a small clean, but casual restaurant. Fun and tasty drinks. Good local food. Nice salads, burgers, shrimp, and fish. We came back several times- even for breakfast. Highly recommend this quiet little gem.

“Great Little Gem!”

La Playita is tough to find, but worth finding. Great location right in the water. The food was wonderful and so was the Sangria. I had an amazing salad with strawberries, red onion, farmer cheese and salmon and it was fantastic. Service was great. Highly recommended.

“Coco loco a must”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Nothing like drinking a Puerto Rican rum cocktail out of a coconut while looking out into the ocean (early afternoon). Top it off with La Playita's special shrimp with avocado...you'll certainly be pleased.
