“Warm welcome and very reasonable”
Reviewed May 21, 2012

My husband and I stayed at the hotel with two of our friends whilst over in Ireland for a wedding at the nearby Ferrycarrig Hotel. The host, Margaret, was very welcoming throughout our stay (friendly without being overbearing). The B&B itself is set in a picturesque location looking out across to the water and it is a very short drive (less than 5 minutes) to the town centre. The house is well-kept and clean. Our room was lovely - amazingly comfy bed and nicely decorated - and was an incredibly reasonable price for the weekend. The only area for improvement would be to have tea making facilities in the bedrooms. Thank you Ferrycarrig Lodge for a wonderful stay.

after attending a conference in wexford we found ferrycarrig lodge the perfect place to relax and unwind. the owner of the b&b greeted us with a pot of fresh coffee and home made scones which were delicious. a good nights sleep and a hearty irish breakfast set us up for our journey home. lovely garden and views of the river. thanks margaret.

Ferrycarrig lodge was outstanding, lovely comfortable rooms, spotlessly clean, with tv, wi-fi.etc. Thanks to margaret for a lovely breakfast and great hospitality.

We stayed at ferrycarrig lodge recently to attend a wedding nearby. When we arrived at the 4 star bandb we were very impressed. From the warm, friendly host Margaret, who greeted us with freshly brewed coffee, to the lovely comfortable rooms with flat screen tvs and wi-fi, a superb breakfast and gorgeous views over the river, this has to be one of the best places we've stayed.

My 4th time staying at Ferrycarrig Lodge, and definitely not my last. Margaret was, as always, on top of her game and really flexible with me and my wife. Had booked a couple of weeks before and inquired if it would be ok to arrive at 12 midnight, and was told this was ok. Was delayed arriving and didn't make it till half past 1. Margaret was there, coffee in hand, to help us bed in for the night. So friendly. Really was a true Blarney Irish reception. As if the late night arrival wasn't bad enough, we thought Margaret would kill us when we mentioned we had to leave the lodge at half 6 to catch the ferry at Rosslare, but unbelievably she arranged for us to sit down to breakfast at half 5. If you're reading this Margaret, thanks again from the bottom of our hearts. If you're ever in Jersey, you can stay with us for as long as you need.

Room Tip: Any of the three rooms with river views are amazing.

This was my second stay having stayed in December 2010 previously. My stay this time was short just the 1 night.I stayed in room number 1 same as my previous stay in fact.was looked after again by Margaret who I believe is the owner of the establishment and Monica was very helpful and served a delicious full Irish breakfast at 7 thirty.also noticed the room had upgraded to plasma tv,s which was nice.Overall very impressed again and would highly recommend this establishment.Btw just to note on a previous comment Wexford town is extremely easy to access and it's a right turn followed by 2 miles straight road to the cbd of the town.During my stays I also did not have any issues with noise I think this road is not busy too much after dark and no late night trains in my experiences! Thanks to all at the Lodge

Room Tip: Room 1 was great during both my stays:)
