“Relaxing”
Reviewed July 7, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

If you want to go back in time this is the place to visit. We had 4 nights here. 2 nights probably would have been enough as it was very cold and rainy. The cottages are cute. Only two on site so not crowded. Nicely appointed cottages fully self contained in line with the era of king island. No phone service except for Telstra. Wifi very limited, which is not such a bad thing when you just want to chill. Take an electric blanket if you don't like being cold at night. The host was amazing. Nothing was any trouble for him. He was such a delight. Would stay here again but in the summer months. You will def need to hire a car and watch out for the wallabies. King island dairy is a def must see and try the island beef. It's good. Only two supermarkets and they are very expensive. Enjoy the crayfish but you'll need to check the season and the beef is amazing which you can buy at the local butcher and cook easily on the smoked BBQ at the Cottage. Thanks John. See you soon

You're welcome back anytime and glad you enjoyed the cottage.

It does get cold on King Island in the middle of winter however the heater does a great job of keeping the cottage nice and cozy and warm.

“A Peaceful relaxing Holiday”

My husband and I stayed 7 nights in the one bedroom cottage. The cottage provided everything one needs for a comfortable stay. The cottage is well equipped and maintained and very clean. The bed was comfortable with crisp white sheets. The cottage is very private and so peaceful and the blue wrens visit throughout the day. The location of the cottage is great in that you have a million dollar view of the ocean. We enjoyed sitting on the verandah looking out to the ocean and the well kept gardens. Being opposite the beach and a short distance to the wharf, it is ideal for fishing and swimming. There is a Bistro/restaurant within walking distance. Our hosts John and Rhonda were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed some fresh raspberries and strawberries from their garden which was a bonus. Their two dogs Bess and Percy are a delight. We had great weather and really enjoyed our time. I would certainly recommend this accommodation as it is on the less windy side of the island. There are no shops nearby so you do need to go to Currie for supplies. Although WiFi is available it does drop out sometimes.
