“Absolutely wonderful villa, perfect for grown ups and kids set in a stunning location, we loved every minute.”
Reviewed October 14, 2017 for a stay in October 2017

From the moment we enquired about renting Villa Milicic (our emails were answered within minutes) to the moment we arrived and were greeted by the owners (Pabo and Christina), we loved every single minute.

The villa is only 10-15 minutes drive from Dubrovnik airport, 15 minutes to the border with Montenegro and around 25 minutes drive to Dubrovnik. It is set in the most beautiful valley (2 minutes outside Gruda village) which is covered in grape vines/orange and pomegranate trees and Cyprus trees.

Pabo and Christina are truly lovely people and met us with a supper of delicious breads, cheese, cold meats and their own wine (Merlot-Zinfandel...absolutely delicious). Honestly their hospitality is amongst the best we've ever received.

The villa has absolutely everything you could think of to make your stay comfortable and our two teenagers declared it one of the coolest places they've ever stayed.

There are 3 bedrooms and three bathrooms and a fold out sofa in the living room. There's a sauna (which heated to 80 degrees within minutes) and a stunning outdoor space with a huge brick BBQ and seating area. Inside the attached building is a pool table, small gym, dart board/badminton racquets and table tennis table and outside there is a large tennis court with football goals and a basketball net (there are floodlights so can happily play once dark). There is also a gorgeous swimming pool with unobstructed views down the valley and comfortable loungers and parasols.

The kitchen is well stocked and there is a washing machine should you need to do laundry.

Gruda has a few lovely restaurants and if you enjoy wine, Pabo is delighted to sell his bottles at an extremely reasonable price.

During our stay, we visited Perast in Montenegro, Dubrovnik and Mostar in Bosnia. All were really beautiful and there were no issues driving our hire car over the borders with our passports.

We cannot recommend this villa highly enough, it is a true gem and Pabo and Christina are too.

We would love to return one day.

P.S. We visited from 5 - 12th October and apart form one huge overnight storm and a little rain on the first day, our weather was sunny with temperatures between 20 - 23 degrees.

If you go....you'll love it!

“A special place and special holiday”
Reviewed September 14, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

A beautiful villa in a stunning setting, surrounded by vines, olive groves and mountains in the distance.
Extremely comfortable and well equipped – everything you could possibly want, including a bottle of wine in the fridge!
Very kind and welcoming hosts – we were given bread, cheese and ham together with a wine tasting on arrival and then shown round our villa. Mario organised a boat for us one day and we were very excited to be at the villa on the first day of the harvest where the process was explained to us. Really interesting to talk to our hosts about the country and its history.
Fantastic outdoor space at the villa. We loved the pool and enjoyed playing table tennis and pool in the evening. Excellent barbeque. Lovely to have a shady place to sit if we wanted to escape from the sun.
The village has 2 good supermarkets and we bought meat from the local butcher. Excellent meal at the recommended Koraceva Kuca.
We liked Cavtat very much and visited Dubrovnik by boat - a wonderful city.
Otherwise we spent a lot of time at the villa, reading, swimming and drinking in the atmosphere.
A special place and special holiday. Thank you to the Milicic family.

“Paradise!”
Reviewed December 29, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Our second visit to Villa Milicic was every bit as good as our first. We all had an amazing time, a fantastic place to either relax and chill out by the pool all day or to come home to after a long day sightseeing. There are many things to do in and around the area, Gruda is a lovely place a very short drive away for all local amenities. Cavtat is stunning to visit and has some fantastic places to eat, the fishing is also great (Mario is also an expert fisherman! :) You can get the boat from there to all the other islands and also Dubrovnik too. Molunat is a short drive away and is lovely, we also travelled a bit farther afield and visited places like Ston which is a must visit if you have a car, also all the islands via one of the many boat trips is highly recommended.

The Villa itself has everything you could possibly need, the outdoor area is so relaxing to sit out of an evening, brilliant barbecue, games room, football pitch, wifi, sauna, exercise equipment. The pool area is fantastic and the views all round make this a really special place to spend a holiday.

Mario and his Family are the best and made the Holiday really special, we had some fantastic evenings that we will never ever forget with such great company, people we consider to be good friends.

We had a fantastic time and will certainly be visiting again. Thanks Mario and all of your Family for another amazing and unforgettable holiday.
