Hotel Ronda was a breath of fresh air for me and my husband when we stayed there last month. It may have been partly due to the fact that we had come from a less-than-fantastic hotel in Granada the night before, but still...this place is adorable, everyone is friendly, and the location is perfect.
The woman who checked us in (Rocio, I think) was super nice, and the next day when we checked out (unfortunately, we only stayed one night...I wished we could have stayed longer!), she insisted that we leave our bags at the desk for as long as we wanted (which ended up being 5 hours because we couldn't get enough of Ronda!) rather than put them in our rental car where we would worry about someone breaking in.
Our room (a standard double) was located on the first floor, right next to the reception desk, which I felt a little weird about at first, but it was totally fine. The room was very tastefully-decorated (sort of clean, modern), and had a large closet where you could hang clothing or store your suitcases. The bathroom was also very clean and nice. The wi-fi worked wonderfully and was super helpful, and there was also a desktop computer that was available for use in the lobby. We had tried to print something from there, and we couldn't get it to work, but there is a printer that I believe is free to use.
There is no breakfast at this hotel-- however, there were cookies, tea, and coffee available in the morning, which was a nice touch.
The location was fantastic...on a tiny street literally steps away from La Mina at the Casa del Rey Moro, and a very short walk to the Puente Nuevo, across which you'll find most of the bars and restaurants of the town. We got lucky with parking-- we found a free spot right up the road.
All in all, we were extremely happy with our choice to stay at Hotel Ronda, and if we ever return to Ronda (which I really hope we do...it's a magical place!), I would definitely consider staying there again.
