Hotel Ronda was a breath of fresh air for me and my husband when we stayed there last month. It may have been partly due to the fact that we had come from a less-than-fantastic hotel in Granada the night before, but still...this place is adorable, everyone is friendly, and the location is perfect.
The woman who checked us in (Rocio, I think) was super nice, and the next day when we checked out (unfortunately, we only stayed one night...I wished we could have stayed longer!), she insisted that we leave our bags at the desk for as long as we wanted (which ended up being 5 hours because we couldn't get enough of Ronda!) rather than put them in our rental car where we would worry about someone breaking in.
Our room (a standard double) was located on the first floor, right next to the reception desk, which I felt a little weird about at first, but it was totally fine. The room was very tastefully-decorated (sort of clean, modern), and had a large closet where you could hang clothing or store your suitcases. The bathroom was also very clean and nice. The wi-fi worked wonderfully and was super helpful, and there was also a desktop computer that was available for use in the lobby. We had tried to print something from there, and we couldn't get it to work, but there is a printer that I believe is free to use.
There is no breakfast at this hotel-- however, there were cookies, tea, and coffee available in the morning, which was a nice touch.
The location was fantastic...on a tiny street literally steps away from La Mina at the Casa del Rey Moro, and a very short walk to the Puente Nuevo, across which you'll find most of the bars and restaurants of the town. We got lucky with parking-- we found a free spot right up the road.
All in all, we were extremely happy with our choice to stay at Hotel Ronda, and if we ever return to Ronda (which I really hope we do...it's a magical place!), I would definitely consider staying there again.

The owner of the hotel is fabulous. She came out to meet us when we were having trouble finding the hotel. We decided we wanted to do a day trip to explore the other towns in the area and when we couldn't find affordable rental cars, SHE LENT US HER OWN CAR FOR THE DAY!!! And when we were running a little late for our bus on the way out of town she dropped us off herself. She was perhaps the most generous and hospitable person I have encountered.

The hotel itself was very clean and cute, right in the center of Ronda. It wasn't anything too fancy but all of the fixtures looked very new and shiny, and it was definitely an amazing value. There was also a free breakfast of coffee, fruit and cookies every morning, which was a nice touch. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

What I remember best about this hotel was the accommodating and helpful staff. When I originally booked the hotel there was only a double room available. Upon arrival, I learned that a single room had become open. After my request, the hotel manager gave me the single at a reduced rate, saving me money. Also amazing was the location of Hotel Ronda. It is a 3 minute walk from the gorgeous canyon that brings people to this mountainous city. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. It was noisy during the day time, but at night it was very quiet and I rested well.

On the negative side, the room was very simple and sparsely decorated, if not a little drab, dark and depressing. A little more natural light, some mood lighting, and ambiance would improve the feeling in the room tremendously.

Hotel Ronda was by far our best hotel experience in Spain. We found the people of Ronda to be friendly in general, and the owners of this hotel (Grofio and her aunt Nieve) especially so. They treat their guests like family. The hotel is very cozy, with only 5 rooms. Our room looked out onto a shaded yard. Although we were only 1 block from the Puente Nuevo, all we could hear from our room was the singing of birds. If you want to wake up to a view, this hotel is not for you. But if you want a quiet, romantic experience, no more than a 30 second walk away from spectacular views in either direction, you can't do any better than Hotel Ronda.

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Ronda for 2 nights. The hotel is run by one lovely woman and there are only 5 rooms. They are clean and fresh. The hotels well situated and only minutes from the Gorge and town centre. breakfast is not provided but the hotel owner prepares fruit, coffee, tea etc each morning in the lobby. English is passable. The hotel has great ambience. Highly recommend

I couldn't recommend this hotel more. Our experience bore out everything that all the other reviewers said, which makes up for the minor negatives of the tiny shower and the harrowing driving experience to get there and to park. We loved the view over the rooftops from the upstairs terrace.

Room Tip: Book early to get a room upstairs.

Had a lovely stay here ..excellent location directly opposite the gardens. Very narrow streets for driving but the owner even ran off round the streets to find us a parking space!
The complimentary tea, coffee and fresh fruit was a excellent start to the day!
