A great location in old Ronda. A five minute walk to the path leading to the best place to take pictures with the bridge as a backdrop. Fortunately my husband didn't mind dragging our suitcases two blocks up the cobblestone road when we left. The owner of the hotel was out of town for a few days, but she had a lovely German gentleman who checked us in. The rooms are simple, but clean and you really feel like you're staying at a European cottage in the mountains. The shower was incredibly small. That would be my one and only complaint.

This hotel was my favorite of all we stayed in during our week in Spain. The staff/owners are warm and accommodating, the rooms large and comfortable, the entire hotel clean and charming. Free street parking is available and the owner will help if needed. The location is fantastic and you can walk to all the main attractions. What more could you ask for?

I agree with the other rave reviews--lovely hotel, nice rooms, good beds, wonderfully quiet, very nice and helpful owner. I will cover two things that are not so well covered elsewhere: parking, and how to find the hotel.

In October we were able to park in the street near the hotel. See the photo--the hotel is the building in the center with flowers. We could usually find parking on the street that winds down to the left, with chances better late in the day. However, where and where not to park so as not to obstruct traffic is not obvious--be sure to consult with the owner, as she will go out and guide you. Parking under the Plaza del Socorro in the Mercadillo is difficult and hard to find--you have to drive through a pedestrian zone to get there, and the spaces are expensive and extremely tight.

To get to the hotel, drive south from the Mercadillo across the Puente Nuevo into the Moorish Quarter (La Ciudad) and take the first left. The street may not be obvious because there are often so many parked cars that it looks like a little parking area, but if you pass by it is difficult to turn around and return. Head on down the street and you will see the hotel as in the photo. You will enjoy your stay!

Stayed here for 5 nights in January. The proprietress was away during my stay, but the niece 'Rocio' ran things on her behalf. Had a great time there. I stayed in the single room no 1, which was perfectly adequate, with TV, shower room, good heating. The place was so clean and the bed linen was changed every day. Would certainloy recommend it to friends and would stay there again myself. Parking wasn't a problem, as I could easily find a parking slot just yards down the road. It was quiet at nighttime - unusual for Spanish towns I think - and slept solidly and well.
