Just spent a very pleasant, relaxing four nights at the Enfrente Arte Hotel in Ronda and had a wonderful time. A bit of me doesn't want to share this review because I'd like to keep the place to myself!

The hotel is located at the bottom of a hill in this lovely town which is about two hours by bus from Malaga. It was really easy to travel to Ronda without a car, but if you want to explore the surrounding countryside a car is definitely required.

We went to chill out and it was certainly possible to do that at the Enfrente Arte. There are lots of good tapas bars within a 10-15 minute walk. The gorge and old town are stunning. I loved it there and would definitely return.

Hotel best bits:
Decor - crazy, colourful walls, lots of stained glass
Gardens - lots of seating areas, wonderful plants, terrace with views over the countryside, sun-bathing area, fish ponds, birds...
Brunch - terrific selection of food (bread, croissants, churros, fruit, meats and cheeses), served till noon!
Bar - another excellent idea - help yourself to coffee, tea, soft drinks, wine and beer

Enfrente Arte is a memorable place for all the right reasons, and I'd love to return.

This really is a unique place to stay. The nooks & crannies constantly surprise & the decor is quirky & fun. Free access to bar a bonus. We had one small gripe in that we had booked over 6 months in advance to secure room with a view & even had email confirmation to that effect, but when checked in our room had been given to someone else - not good! But they did change us to the correct room when vacant. But overall thought this a special place to stay in beautiful Ronda.

The hotel was fab. We had a great stay. Wonderful building and decor. 24hour access to drinks etc and lovely breakfast included. Only regret the weather was too cold to use the pool. Need to return in summer. Perfect location. Very relaxing. Ronda is a great city. Easy to arrive by bus from Malaga (1 hour 30 - cost 11 euros).

Tried to book in here for two nights in early December (walking in on the off-chance) but they only had availability for one night, so they offered us a tiny apartment (really a minute house) about 10 minutes walk from the hotel, with breakfast to be taken at the hotel itself.
In view of this we are unable to review the hotel other than the reception and breakfast room but the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant and the breakfast (which went on until lunch time) was wondeful - fresh, varied, unusual, leisurely and really set you up for the day. Diner is not available at the hotel but it would appear that they ow a restaurant in he town which they obviously recommend, but there is a wonderful choice of restaurants, particularly away from the main tourist areas.
The hotel is situated in the older part of the town, well down the hill, and parking wasn't a problem. Unfortunately the weather was not kind and we had snow - nearly got stuck up in some nearby national park with a lot of Spaniards all rather bemused by the weather!
When we next return to Ronda we will certainly try to get in here as what we experienced whet our appetite for another visit.
