Great base for exploring Ronda once you've found it- we too had trouble with the GPS details. Simple instructions ie the turning for the hotel is on the 374 Ronda to Seville road, just northwest of Ronda, at the km 26 turn off then follow the signs for 3kms

Beautiful hotel - would agree with all the previous reviews. Very welcoming for our dogs too!

i found the receptionist, Christina, extremely helpful- not just in helping us find the hotel as we had come in to Ronda from the opposite side and the GPS was a bit 'lost'- but also took the time to show us around the hotels' lovely premises, to show us the room etc. Also any information requested about Ronda itself ( the feria and the bullfights, times of masses, places to visit were given off hand- probably better and quicker than at the local tourist office). A nice detail was a bottle of good wine waiting for us in the room as a welcome gesture. The rest of the staff was helpful, present but not in the way or disturbing the tranquillity as it happens in some places. Our meal in the evening in the gardens was really astonishing- we took the set menu and had our tastebuds really spoiled. Well worth the trip for this reason alone. This secluded place in the tranquil countryside made this an excellent place to relax and chill out- only sounds to be heard were birds and the bells of the goats . Could it be more buccolic? It is a place we will visit again for sure.

Converted from an old farmhouse, Molino del Arco is in a peaceful rural setting just 15 minutes drive from Ronda. We found it very easily by following the directions emailed to us by the hotel. It has large gardens and a lovely pool set into a lawn, with views over the surrounding countryside. Our room was very spacious with a great Arabic style walk-in shower although it would benefit from being re-decorated as the wall paper was bubbled in areas. The upstairs breakfast room has a great view across the cobbled courtyard area. Buffet breakfast was a very good selection, with hot breakfast made to order. We found the dinner to be very average and after the first night we drove into Ronda where there are a wide variety of good restaurants. The bar, with a wide variety of drinks, is open all hours and run on an 'honesty' basis - visitors write down what they have on a clipboard on the bar. All the staff we spoke to during our stay were most helpful. A car is a must here as it's well off the beaten track. Not suitable for those looking for hustle and bustle but great for those of us who appreciate peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings.

We stayed at Molino Del Arco for three nights because it was ideally placed for us in the countryside north of Ronda. It allowed us to easily visit Ronda without too much fuss and gave us ready access to the attractions in the surrounding countryside, which are many. It also has a nice big pool, which in summer is a big plus! If you arrive by day, the hotel is easy enough to find when driving north from Ronda on the highway to Seville. The key thing is not to worry about the distance gauge in your car, but take note of the distance markers on the right hand side of the road, every kilometre as you head away from Ronda. When you see the one marked 26, you should immediately take the side road off to the right. This road turns into a lane as it twists and turns to the east. As you keep driving, you will encounter fairly frequent signs pointing onwards to Molino Del Arco. Eventually, it turns into a dirt track, just before you reach the white walls of the hotel. The hotel is very nicely appointed, including classy art work and with lovely gardens. We were upgraded to a suite with a lovely view of the countryside, so we were very comfortable. (Internet access was best from the seating area, not the bed) Unless you are out travelling you will probably eat at the hotel. Breakfast was charged extra and I thought was more expensive than most other places we stayed in Spain, considering it was not very different from what we had been served elsewhere. On the other hand, dinner served in the garden was I thought, something special provided you ordered the 3 course option. Serves were not big and the price was more like for a restaurant meal in Australia but I thought the cooking was wonderful with a level of refinement and sophistication we had not tasted very often during this trip. Three cheers to the cooks! My only other observation rather than a complaint was that there was a stuffiness about the guests which made me feel a little uncomfortable. I like bed and breakfasts because people like to chat and share stories. Here people kept to themselves, to the point of whispering and with only minimal acknowledgements. Strange, perhaps it depends on the clientele at the time. Aside from these quibbles, Molino del Arco is a very pleasant and civilized place to stay in the country near Ronda and I would recommend you consider it.

The hotel which is quite secluded and can be hard to find. Our GPS with the newest maps took us to the wrong spot, so as stated by others, don't rely on the GPS. On the A374, about 5 km north of Ronda you will see the Hotel Don Benito. Turn off here and follow the road behind the hotel. You will come across signs directing you to the hotel which is about 10 minutes through small roads and tracks in the hills.
The hotel is beautiful with lovely gardens and 2 swimming pools. Plenty of free parking. The room we had was tastefully decorated and comfortable. The airco was not so good and there is no fridge in the room which is a slight drawback. There is however a bar with a large selection of drinks where you can serve yourself based on trust. The breakfast was very good. We didn't try the restaurant but went into Ronda. The next day we wanted lunch, but as the restaurant is closed, all you can get is a quick snack from a short menu. Friendly staff who spoke good English. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Christina welcomed us, went around the hotel with us, listened to what we wanted to do then gave us a map and recommendations of where to go and where to eat. The hotel breakafst (included) was good with fresh fruit and fine cheese and meats etc; the hotel dinner (on a grass terrace on picnic tables) was fresh and tastey ..... just a beautiful experience. Thank you!

Room Tip: We stayed in room 8. We didn't need the mezzanine area with a sofa and extra coffee table, not i...

There are many reviews saying that this hotel is difficult to find but we found the directions spot on; turn left 50m after the 0km to Ronda sign. It is a bit out of the way but if you don't need to stay in Ronda itself and want something really special or 'away from it all', this hotel is ideal.
We had booked a Junior Suite for a milestone celebration but on arrival, were upgraded to their Suite. All I can say is that it is amazing and made our stay very special. The bedroom with 4-poster bed is very comfortable, there is then a first floor level with comfy sofa, ideal for relaxing, reading, etc and the piece de resistance, a roof terrace with spectacular panoramic views over the local countryside, perfect for sundowners and just relaxing and having a wonderful time. If you are considering spending that little bit extra, do it, it was unforgettable!
The staff were very nice and welcoming and there is an honesty bar and free wi-fi in the lounge. We ate dinner in the garden and it was excellent and also very special, great food with attentive service.
Little things I found lacking were a fridge in the suite and amenities in the bathroom, there were only soap, shampoo and bath/shower gel but this did not detract from a truly wonderful stay.
