We visited Cafe La Fuente for a late breakfast on two cold rainy February days in 2013. The cafe had only been open 3 months and systems were still being developed and staff trained by a cafe specialist from Amsterdam.
The window display is very inviting, and 'invited', we stepped it to be given a very nice welcome. Downstairs they have a communal table like the famous Bill's Cafe in Sydney. They have a choice of four or five breakfasts. We chose the 'healthy' (from memory) which included cereal and the 'Catalonia' which included Pa Amb Tomaque or tomato on toast - which is far nicer than its mundane name suggests. Both were excellent. They bake their own bread which is delicious. The coffee was great (the 'cafe specialist' said 'they still had to get it right' - well, when they do that, it should be sensational). The young staff were charming and efficient. A lovely place to have breakfast. It is right near the new bridge, so convenient to 'downtown' Rondo.
