Every year we tour around inland Spain, visiting different towns and cities. We originally intended to stay at the Parador, but this was ten times better. We loved it. The view over the gorge was amazing and our room was spacious, with a small sitting area, and truly delightful. The food in the restaurant was good. It was rather expensive, but after all, you’re paying for the view as much as the food.

Service was good, and the valet parking was extremely helpful and efficient. The room was cool, and very quiet. We had a view over the gorge, and will definitely return when we can.

We stayed in the Suite Marbella (red walls) & it was perfect. Such a comfortable room, bed, and unbeatable view. It was very clean, cool, & quiet at night. The staff was helpful & courteous. The bathroom is large & filled with gorgeous marble. We walked to Confiteria Daver for breakfast pastries & brought them back to eat while looking at that killer view. The Albacara restaurant for dinner was the best we had all trip.

Room tip: The Suite Marbella is worth it!

It’s a little pricey and the room decor a bit stuffy but absolutely worth it if you book a room overlooking the gorge. I was mesmerized by the view and loved sitting in front of the doors open to the abyss, with an amazing view of the Puente Nuevo.

Its location in the old town is also great. Turn right out of the hotel and explore a labyrinth of picture perfect, romantic streets.

Another plus is the plunge pool. Although small and a bit chilly, it’s brilliantly designed and overlooks the gorge. I spent a dreamy hour there reading, plunging and gazing.

Staff were friendly. I would however suggest that the hotel develop better maps/instructions for the many hiking options. We ended up on a suboptimal walk after being wrongly informed by the front desk that the steps to the gorge were closed. We saw many people traversing them later and wished we could have done the same.

My partner and I stayed here last week and were a bit put off by the tiny rooms and the customer service. Our room had a view of the hotel across the street (which was in very close proximity we could practically reach out and touch it). We had booked a double bed but it was a room where they had pushed two single beds together. It must be a on a street where at the end there are parties because both nights we stayed, there would be party goers leaving the club around 4:30-5:30am and they were extremely loud each night. The wifi didn't work while we were there (we were on a working vacation so we absolutely needed it, my partner had to sit in the hall just to get signal). The woman at the front desk was quite brash, and not very friendly - the breakfast was super basic. Other than that, the restaurant has one of the best views, and if you can get a room on that side, it's probably amazing. It's in a good location, in relation to where everything is - minus the party noises. Probably wouldn't stay here again. The Parador is across the bridge and I'd recommend staying there.

We had only one night's stay at the hotel but found it to be a very comfortable place to stay in a great location, walking distance into the central old town. Our room didn't have a view -- not every room has a few facing the famous bridge. But it was exceptionally quiet and spacious, with a sitting area and a well appointed bathroom. I felt as if we had stepped into another era! There weren't reservations available in the dining room that night but the host gave us several recommendations for dining in the area, that worked out well despite it being a Sunday. She spoke English and was very helpful. Parking isn't on the premises but is a short distance away. The streets are very narrow so best to limit driving in the area. It isn't necessary to drive in the immediate as it's easy to explore on foot. Breakfast was a bit overpriced for the offering but good.
