“Cheap and authentic ”
Reviewed August 28, 2014 via mobile

We got this place recommended by a local. It is really authentic with tapas €0,80 a piece! The tapas is as good as on the other tapas bars in Ronda where it cost €1-3 a piece.
You dont sit long the place is crowed and not especially cozy.

“Too bad...”
Reviewed July 8, 2014

Rick Steves recommended this local joint and I was so looking forward to eating the tapas. The place was a mess and I was hoping the kitchen was a lot cleaner than the bar and eating area. Used napkins all over the floor, sticky bar. Gosh, can't the bartender see that? The locals are happy to help navigate the menu and make recommendations. I just hope they clean up the place.

“Great Tapas for less than a Euro!”
Reviewed June 8, 2014

We arrived just after opening time, 1pm, on Tues. 13 May. It’s a small corner bar just one block off the Plaza de Espana at the new bridge. It probably has less than 15 bar stools at the L shaped bar and at two small counters. They have a multi-lingual menu with most tapas at 0.80 euros! Use the order sheet to check off what looks good, hand it in and prepare yourself for a great tapas experience!
The best of the Best: Large Snails cooked in tasty red sauce – Caracoles Grandes – we had 2 servings! Goat Cheese with Honey – Queso Cabra con Miel. Mussel on Pate – Mejilliones con Pate. Grilled mushrooms – Championes a la Plancha.

“Eat like a local!”
Reviewed November 30, 2013

Like another reviewer said, I hesitate to let the secret out, but it is such a chill, fun place, that you HAVE to eat here. Go only if you like:
To eat where the locals eat;
To be super casual, and maybe even have to stand if no chairs are free;
To try new foods and pay next to nothing;
Bohemian atmosphere;
To strike up a conversation with a local (easiest question: "What's that you're eating?").
Okay, so this place may not be for someone looking for an elegant night out, but if the comments above excite you, then don't skip this place. I chatted with some Spaniards who drove from another town just to hang and eat here. The restaurant has one brand of beer, ice cold on tap. They have wine, red and white. And they have a long list of hot and cold tapas....just mark what you want on the order form, and minutes later it appears. Everything was delicious. Ask questions, try new things, and have fun! It's a lively, loud place, where one should go after 9PM, and you'll be standing shoulder to shoulder with locals, young and old!

A typical Spanish bar with an efficient tapas ordering system. The food is good and great value. Thoroughly recommended.
