This is a small tapas restaurant. Only 4 tables indoors. We absolutely loved the food. It was so good we bought lots of dishes to try them all. What we really liked : Onion soup. Salmorejo. Smoked duck toast. Panchetta teriaki. Smoked Salmon toast. Tuna tataki. Moroccan chicken. Artichokes. Chocolate truffles and mango creme Brulee. Highlight of our trip to Ronda.

Somebody else said they would visit Ronda just for this and we
cannot agree more. This place is genius! Our hotel recommended it (unusually, we had not done any Ronda research) and we cannot express how happy we are that we ended up here. To miss this place is to miss an flavor experience that is hard to repeat.
There are 4 tables seating 4 people upstairs and that is it. In the summer, there are tables outside and people come from all over to eat at this place. The owner (he is Baque) and his wife (she is from Cordoba and cooks) are doing something so special with their food…it's one of most memorable food experiences of late. Guillermo explains the menu from start to finish which makes it even harder to choose! We started with 4 tapas and were blown away by the ingredients, combinations and presentation. Consquently, we just kept ordering more in spite of knowing we were just being greedy. In the end, we had at least 8 items including malaga salad, foie gras, hamburguesa, pork belly and finished with the gin and tonic sorbet. WOW! And…4 beers, 2 glasses of wine for €38…speechless! If you love food, this is the place for you!

My girlfriend and I are foodies and rely on tripadvisor quite a bit to find the best eating places wherever i visit. This time around, I was at Malaga, Ronda and Sevilla and visited the top-rated restaurants at each place.

All the restaurants we visited were really good, but the one that stands out among all is De locos tapas. Although the location might seem out of the way, it is actually quite straightforward to get to, if you just follow the road south from the Puente Nuevo Bridge away from the main tourist area.

The man running the restaurant was very friendly and took time to explain the menu to us, from the first dish to the last. Food arrived promptly and we were pleasantly surprised by the presentation, which were exquisite. That was just the start of an amazing meal, as we were wowed by the creativity in mixing ingredients for the dishes, as well as how well simple dishes such as the garlic soup tasted. It really goes to show how much pride they take in preparing their food.

The only disappointment came when we were so full that we just could no longer try anything more. We would definitely have gone again if we were going to spend more time at Ronda.

Everything was great, but the dishes that we loved most were the teriyaki pork, garlic soup, scallops, mushroom risotto and malaga salad.

Between the 2 of us we shared 10 tapas and 2 drinks, and it was <40 euros.

Four of us visited here two weeks ago while on holidays in Marbella, after travelling over the mountains in dense fog we finally arrived at our destination. I had viewed the recommendations on Tripadvisor for De Locos Tapas so we decided to give it a go, we first called the restaurant but they were booked out so after walking around for a while we took a chance and called into them. Initially the owner said he could not accommodate us but after telling him we had traveled from Ireland to try his establishment, he told us to come back in one hour.
The food can only be described as amazing and with a choice to suit everyone, the owner and his wife do everything yet still make you feel special, we had around 6 tapas each and each one was worthy of a mention in a Michelin star guide. One dish in particular stood out for me and that was the beef carpaccio with Parmesan ice cream it literally exploded with flavour. If i lived in Rhonda i would definitely visit here at least once a week but unfortunately for now i will have to settle on just one visit a year.
