Amazing! Fantastic setting by the old wall and a very friendly welcome from the owner. He took lots time to talk us through his extensive menu. He suggested we order two tapas each and then order more if we wanted. Too many dishes to mention individually but the seared tuna was outstanding and we loved the sardine dish, served in a sardine tin - a good-humoured twist! Also you must try the mini burger - delicious. I can't figure how it's done for the price - we had 9 exquisite tapas, all freshly made with top quality ingredients and 6 drinks - 36 euros - incredible. We'll be returning to Ronda again purely to visit De Locos Tapas. Luckily we live in the area so it's going to be our new favourite. If you're visiting Ronda you must make a point of seeking this place out.

We worked very hard to find this place, it is a little out of the way and just before you exit the medieval walls into the "new" city. But it was worth the effort and we went back again the next night! The waiter/owner? is wonderfully entertaining, reading the night's choices from a handwritten piece of paper he carries with him - starting all over again patiently each time. The choices are unusual and wonderfully paired - some things come with a little taster of ice cream! Don't be afraid to try new things - everything we had was wonderful and my husband had to have the Moroccan chicken both nights, as well as the tiny hamburger sliders with quail eggs. The second night we stayed downstairs and watched a soccer game with the regulars while we had our tapas - definitely a culinary highlight of our trip to Spain.

This is one of the best little restaurants we have been to.
As you might have heard, they have only 4 tables on the first foor, so you better be an early bird or come after the locals. In warm weather they put some more tables in front of the house.
The reception is informal and friendly, the waiter speaks fluent spanglish.
The menu is handwritten on a piece of paper but will be explained.
Expect the unexpected because they do have some unusual combinations on their menu.
They serve Tapas like Foie Gras with marmelade, Black Pudding, Smoked Fish in a fake can, Salmoreja with ham and almonds, Scallops with lardo and tiny Burgeritos :)
Everything is exeptionally well crafted and interesting.
Wine by the glass is good and you get a very good sweet wine with the dessert. I forgot the name but it was from Cordoba ( Monilla ?)
Don't be afraid it is excellent and forget about the price because it is not worth mentioning it.
2 Persons 40,- !

We had to wait for about 35 minutes for a table, but we got a dish for free as we waited. When we got the table we soon found out it was worth the wait! Great food, wonderful service and the final bill was so low we could hardly believe it.. If you want tapas with a modern twist, this is a must!
