We found a very quiet place, in the center of the old town. We enjoyed the nightly overview on the city roofs. The reception was very sympatic. Food was good and simple, menu is varied. Very good presentation.

Great restaurant in the old part of Rhonda. I had the chicken paella and my hubby had the steak. The paella was really good and a nice change from the usual seafood paella, and the steak was cooked 'just right' according to my hubby!
There was a lovely terrace outside where it was great to relax and have a drink.
The owners Fran and Aubra spoke perfect English which we always find helpful when eating out abroad.
We will certainly use this restaurant again if we go back to Rhonda again.

Hi Daphne

Many thanks for your comment

We are now into the end of October and the warm evenings on the terrace are few and far between. The restaurant is the main dining area now.

I am glad that you enjoy the chicken paella and the Iberian Secret.

I hope you enjoyed your stay in Ronda and please look us up next time you visit Andalucia

Kind Regards

Francisco & Aubra

We found this restaurant by chance, didn't plan to go there but the one we wanted was closed so we ended up at Goyesca. We sat outside and the decor is very simple. Our order consisted of Tapas menu: several cold tapas (russian salad, tuna salad, cheese and jamon); several hot tapas (I can't recall them all but they were fantastic!) and Tiramisu for dessert. It was one of the best ones I've had!!! Great memories! The other meal was "Iberian secret" which consisted of roasted potatoes and grilled pork shoulder cut. All tasted great! And what liked a lot - the portion sizes were quite reasonable, not humangous like most places, but big enough to fill up an average person.
We tried Paella for lunch but it didn't meet our expectations as we expected some saffron flavor but didn't taste any. It was still tasty, just different. We highly recommend it! Service was good and Aubra was an excellent host with the perfect English :)

On a steep street in the old part of Ronda.
Only had a light tapas lunch but were impressed.
Food good, reasonably priced and excellent service.
Will try in the evening another time.

We visited Goyesca in Ronda after walking uphill from the underground mine. We had refreshing Mojito to recover from the climb. We were watching lovely food coming out so decided to return for dinner. From the dining room there were nice views also managed to see the moon rising very specie! We had the 3 course special which we all enjoyed followed by the best coffee we had since leaving Australia. Very friendly and helpful service from the owner. Recommend to try!
