This restaurant benefits from being out of the centre of Ronda, so it is possible to park the car and enjoy a meal in a Spanish style. We were able to eat out in the town square - a hazardous crossing of the road for the waiters each time they brought something but nice for us.
The food was good local cooking and reasonably priced.

This is a bar, tapas bar and restaurant, all contained in one small building.

The tapas and drinks are served in the cool, blue-tiled street-level bar with hams hanging from the ceiling, a reminder that this is a pig-rearing area.

The drinks prices are mouth-wateringly low and the delicious tapas start at €1.00. There are some unusual tapas such as stuffed avocat and smoked salmon rolls filled with a cream cheese concoction. I can recommend both unreservedly, and all the other tapas too.

Why "all the other tapas too"? Simple explanation. We live close to Ronda and, whenever we can, we visit this bar-restaurant which, psychologically, is as far from the tourist traps that unfortunately litter Ronda, as you could wish to be.

In the summer, the outside tables sprawl onto part of the attracive adjoining square; the party atmposphere is unforgettable. Closing time is something we have yet to see, if you catch my drift.

A brilliant bar-restaurant where everybody, adults young and old, even children, feels immediately welcome.

Remember, the job of the hard-working staff is to get your order in front of you as quickly as possible. If they appear a bit brusque, it´s simply that they are doing their job. Just don´t take it personally.

They have a pizzaria facing the bar. We have never eaten there, but I´m confident that it is as good as the place across the road from it, the Bodega San Francisco.

Had lunch here, it's out of the tourist area, meaning good food for normal prices. Food was really nice and service was ok.

My fiancee and I spent a few days in Rhonda and we ate at the Bodega SFO one night. First, the house wine (Coso Viejo Rioja 2009) is an excellent option at Euro 8 for the bottle. We feasted on a few tapas that night - greek salad, tapas chicken with garlic, tomatoes with ginger and artichokes, spanish sweet potatoes with garlic, grilled fish with veggies (I don't know which one, by that time the bottle was half over) and mushorooms. We had the option to sit outside but it was a crisp spring evening so we sat upstairs - a local family was our neighbor and it was so much fun. Highly recommended for a romantic dinner (at least it was for us), good food and wine.

After our children acosted a man walking his dog it was time for lunch. the man recommanded this place a bit of a walk from where we were. Such an excellent meal for all four of us that we did the unthinkable and came back for dinner. Only entree I didnt love was the rabbat. Loved the quial eggs and the artichoke salad the best.
