“A wonderful B&B in a wonderful town”
Reviewed October 17, 2012

The welcome here is warm, effusive even, and before long one is at home in a sharply designed bed and breakfast at the lower end of the new town. The rooms are well proportioned and carefully planned. Breakfast is beautifully prepared by Marivi and cooked to order. If you would struggle to walk up the hill to either the new or old towns from the Arabian Baths, or, if you cannot cope without a television, then this hotel is not for you. For me however, middle aged and overweight as I am, it was near perfect. Only ten minutes walk from the centre of the tourist hotspots of the old town or the restaurants and bars of the new town, Aire de Ronda is close to the Roman Bridge, Arabian Baths and the eastern walls of the old town and the view along the eastern walls of the old town in the morning is a treat missed by most tourists. If you are travelling by train to and from Ronda, and why wouldn't you, take a cab from the station for about 6 euros.

There is not much more to say about this stunning hotel, a house like hotel, with only 3 rooms, gorgeous interior and last but not least, the lady who owns the hotel and serves you every day the yummiest breakfast, is now on our Christmas card list, we wanted to take her home. Marivi is an absolute gem, a beautiful friend we found! I would stay here again and again and would book right away as it only has 3 rooms. In terms of location a 10 minute walk to the bullring, to the gauge and the old town, a 5 or so minute walk to the Arabic bathes. Ronda was easily the best place in spain that I've visited, much to do with Marivi and her recommendations.

This place it about 15-20 min walk from the trainstaion, though if you've got bags, take a cab, trust me; the cobble stone roads and hilly terrain doesn't make it easy. The cab will only cost you 7 euro tops!

Room Tip: All rooms are ideal you can't go wrong! Marivi will take care of you, you'll feel like you...

A fabulous B&B which is really a Boutique Hotel. Lovingly renovated from an old Convent by the owner who does triple duty as chef and as your hostess. Ultra modern renovation which allows the history to remain intact and could easily make it into Architectural Digets - our room with lovely dark wooden floors, a sitting area equipped with a small refrigerator, snacks and included internet. Bathroom with fabulous shower and copper flecked tiling. Fabulous breakfast with fresh fruit, pastries and eggs cooked to order included. Make sure to have a custom gourmet meal prepared by the owner one evening with one of her wine selections- you may not have a better meal in Spain. Quiet location. Air conditioned (very welcome in Spain in the summer). Five minute walk up cobbled streets to the main Rhonda walking street. Absolutely recommend this for a stay in Rhonda.

Room Tip: Just 3 rooms - soon to be 4. All lovely. All quiet. All impeccable.

The room was beautifully designed with an extremely comfortable bed. The location is great, you only have a short walk to the main attractions of Ronda. We had dinner one of the nights and this is a must, the service and quality of the food all served by the owner was very very impressive. Everywhere in the hotel is spotlessly clean. Breakfast is served every morning and is also top quality, we had fresh orange juice, fruit and thinly sliced toast with jam and marmalade. We were then asked whether we would like eggs, bacon etc. If you are planning a trip to Ronda then don't think about staying anywhere else as I assure you nothing will compare to Aire De Ronda. Shame on the person who rated 1 star!

We enjoyed this little boutique hotel, beautifully renovated. Excellent breakfast. Friendly host spoke excellent English (she lived in UK for 15 years) and gave helpful advice on the local area. Highly recommended.

Owner of this small hotel made us feel like friends, not clients. Breakfast was great - she made what we wanted and I had a feeling that she was willing to make everything. She also recommended very good place to eat dinner in town centre. Room was clean, quiet, so we could rest good after walking all day in Ronda. Excellent!

Aire de Ronda certainly lived up to its reputation. Marievi is a truly wonderful hostess, who does her utmost to be helpful. The breakfasts and dinner were outstanding, and special mention must go to the best bed I have ever slept in. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
