“5* View, 2*bathroom, but loved it!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 18, 2012

I stayed 2 nights and the room was the sort of room you get when you're a student ie. an odd shape with mis-matched furniture, although the bed was comfortable. I did find one or two slightly dusty surfaces - been watching too much "4 in a Bed" ! The bathroom was definitely 2*. There were no curtains at the sink, which was next to the window, so if you got washed with the light on, everyone in the square would be able to see. However, the room had a sort of quaintness about it that I liked - it had personality!

From the other 2 windows - one with a balcony - in the room the view had the WOW!!!-factor. As was the view from the cafe and restaurant. There was not a great selection of food at breakfast and it was poorly presented, but I enjoyed what I had. I had a meal in the restaurant which was delicious, but the waiter was unfriendly, although the other waiters were friendlier. And the receptionist was very helpful when I wanted a taxi on Sunday.

When I was there, in May, it was quite cold and there was a heater provided which soon heated the room up.

I chose this hotel for its location, and it's views are breathtaking. I could have sat and looked out at that view forever. The bed was comfortable, but I've stayed in better 3* hotels, but I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Room Tip: Try and get a room on the gorge side.

We stayed at the Hotel Don Miguel at the end of April 2012. The woman at the reception desk the afternoon we arrived was not well suited for a job dealing with the public. She was decidedly unfriendly and unhelpful, getting information from her was like pulling teeth. Our room was fairly spacious, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was small and not well appointed but it was clean. (Later in the day, while handing in our key before going out, I heard another guest complaining about the smell in their room, saying it was intolerable but our room did not have this problem) The view from our room was nothing short of fabulous. Our room overlooked the gorge and the view was breathtaking. Breakfast was included with the room, it had a good variety of choices and was plentiful but again, the staff left something to be desired. There is a lovely terrace with beautiful views and WiFi was available in the breakfast/bar area but not in the rooms. We would love to visit Ronda again but would probably splurge and stay at the Parador.

The staff at the restaurant is rude. Some rooms probably have views, but our was on the street. The location is the only reason to stay here.

The hotel was fairly full so the only rooms left were overlooking the street. The twin room we had smelt damp and was dark. The bathroom had been done up but was also a bit smelly. The Bar had been booked for childrens parties both days and the door locked, the restaurant was closed until the evening making this a big disappointment as the weather was foul. We like children but it meant there was nowhere to sit or use the wi-fi. This is not a cheap hotel and I would rather pay more and have some comfort or even less and have a more welcoming room thats not smelly. Perhaps its better if you have the view but otherwise leave this one alone.
Our meal in the restaurant was the best bit and I would recommend the food.

Room Tip: Do not book rooms on the second floor, overlooking the street. You pay the same as the rooms with a...

Read all the review I could find and desided that for a one night stay we wanted the view. If we hadn't of had the view, I would have been disapointed. Not the cheapest but not the most expensive either. Very central to the main attraction that we wanted to see. Didn't spent much time in the room. Excellant bathroom and bed but no tea or coffee making facilities. Staff were helpful and there is parking in locked up garage available near by for 12 Euros/night. Dropping off point at reception. Breakfast was varied; Tea and coffee, different cereals, fruit juice, some hot options, cold meats and cheeses, youghart, bread and some pasteries. No restriction on how much or what you could eat.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view when booking - that's what your paying for

Open the door to your room and sigh, "ho hum". Open the window and gasp.
People who have trouble walking may not like the stairs and passages from the entrance to the rooms. People who need Wifi in your room better choose another property.
Everything is clean and the bathroom is big with a tub and a bidet.
Breakfast is quite good with cold meats, cheese, cereals and good coffee.

Room Tip: ask at the desk.

We visited Ronda up in the Andalusian Mountains .It was so beautiful. The Hotel was not the most luxurious in the area but the only one with a view over the gorge and the old bridge. the rooms were comfortable, spacious and clean and very cool. breakfast was very satisfactory with a large variety.Situated in the middle of everything you can get everywhere on foot.

Room Tip: I thing all rooms overlook the gorge but upon reservation we asked for a room with a view
