We sat in the first floor, and the staff took very good care of us. We had a lovely paella for starters that was more than big enough for two peoples. For mains we had a perfectly cooked sirloin steak and a delicious shoulder of lamb. There was a bit time between the courses but that was perfect! Perfect ending was a perfectly made flan. Will definetly come back next time. Highly recommended!

We went to Casa Ortega since we liked the set up of the restaurant, which is also a tapas bar, and a lady also suggested it as the best in Ronda. Actually the restaurant is a "top class" one, with a nice and confortable dining room on the second floor you can get by elevator too. The menu is rich and respect the local tradition. I had scallops on artichokes purè and lanb shoulder grill.
Wine selection is outstanding. In the corner of the dining room there is a large wine cellar with glass walls so you can see and pick the wines but... The nice guy who must be a real expert is pushing too hard to sell very expensive wines. His continuous soliciting became annoying and made the dinner not as perfect as it could be. At the end, including 3 bottles of wine ranging from 15 to 25€ and service the bill was 50€ each. Good choice!

After a very early morning flight to Malaga, we arrived in Ronda and were attracted to this restaurant with its tables outside on a lovely town square. As tourists, we then became the waiter’s prey! I wanted to order the swordfish only to be told that it was frozen and that I should order the sole. I went along: the tiny sole arrived accompanied by just a few fries and the entire dish was drowning in olive oil with a dozen garlic cloves. My son had the pasta Bolognese and my husband ordered tapas for 2 to be shared with our daughter, as they weren’t very hungry. After a very long wait, the first tapas dishes arrived: a plate of Spanish cheese and another plate of ham. Then we waited another 20 minutes asking periodically when we would get the rest of the tapas. Finally, a plate arrived with only cooked meat on it. We were truly fed up at this point and told him this wasn’t tapas. He took it back, supposedly didn’t charge us, but the bill was still 70€ ! A true rip-off! It is best to find a place in the charming old town of Ronda where hopefully the establishments are more honest.

We visited here one evening and we were so impressed, we shared a large tapa of asparagus with eggs and potato, it was stupendous, but the place itself was gorgeous, and very stylish and the owner is on hand to supervise the waiters and attends to every detail, he is very proud of his restaurant and it shows, this place is always busy but don't worry if you can't speak Spanish because Antonio the owner speaks perfect English as he lived in England for a time and he is always pleased to show you his tapas and explain them in English, there is a restaurant upstairs but we stayed in the tapas bar downstairs

having stumbled on this bar/restaurant we were very impressed with the food and the very attentive service. We dined twice in the upstairs restaurant ( midweek ) and the food and service was approaching central london standards. The cafe has an excellent atmosphere and delicious, healthy food which is not easy to find in spain. We dined there most of our stay during which the weather was atrocious.
