“A dining experience that competes with the best of the best!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 6, 2014 via mobile

This restaurant sits on the wall of the gorge and offers stunning views of this natural wonder. We went here around 9 pm in early July so we marveled at the sun going down for more than an hour. What a stunning sunset; what a location for a dining experience. By now you may be wondering if the owners are milking the view and feeding you mediocre food. You're wondering wrong! The food is fantastic. The menu is designed with care and offers a wonderful selection. Every meal is prepared to perfection. I believe one should only order duck confit in Paris; my kids ordered the duck and I got to taste it; the real deal! As good as any in Paris. The staff are very professional and helpful. They obviously take pride in what they do. This dining experience would have easily cost three times more in London, Paris, New York or Los Angeles. If you're going to be in Ronda, and if you enjoy and understand fine dining, do yourself a favor and visit this place.

“One of the best in Ronda!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 4, 2014

Oh, My God...,this ranks right up there for one of the best dining experiences 'ever'. This was recommended to us by Claudie from the San Gabriel Hotel and from the moment we walked through the door we knew we were in for a treat. A fabulous view followed by an amazing dining experience. The staff were so friendly and helpful and their food recommendations were spot on. Beautifully made and totally delicious. A wonderfully romantic setting in a part of Spain that felt untouched by commercialism, which isn't true, but felt that way. The two of us spent nearly 3 hours there on our own and time flew by soaking in the beautiful sunset and atmosphere. We are going back in August with 4 friends are returning to this restaurant and working our way through their splendid menu!

“A room with a view”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2014 via mobile

Anyone who has read the reviews will have deduced the main attraction. That view. We went for dinner and were duly entertained by a magnificent sunset. Marvellous.
We found the place offered more that the view. Prompt, friendly service, nice napery and glasses set off a good choice of Spanish based dishes most with a modern twist. A combination that made for the best evening in Ronda of our short stay so far. We variously went for the lamb, the duck and suckling pig as mains - all simply roasted but all well received.
The place is no Michelin star eatery but it offers well prepared and presented food and good value at about €50 per head for three courses including aperitifs, water and wine. Then there is that view, they give you that for free.
One tip, if you suffer from vertigo, maybe you should resist those tables lining the edge of the terrace.

“A most romantic place to eat and the food is great too!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 19, 2014

Ronda first timers and we were stunned to find the gorge and bridge dividing the old and new parts of the town. It was obvious this was the pace for lunch. What's the time? 12:30 - let's go hunting! We spotted a couple of venues from the bridge and this was the first. The restaurant is at the back of the Hotel Monteliro which can be found on the right oif the first street on the right after the bridge as you head into the old town.
The waiters were chariming and helpful as previouis TA reviwers have said. Good english to help us but the menu was in Spanish, English and German anyway.
The choices were good across all parts of a meal. Seafood was common on many dishes but there were also choices for meat and vegetarians. Our meal was beautifully presented (the photos of our starters).
Until nearer 1pm we had the terrace to ourselves but it quickly became busier and most if the guests were English (or at least English speaking!!)?
The meal was not cheap. It cost us about 87 euro for a 3 course meal with beer and wine. But the view and standard of cuisine was first class and I do not begrudge one cent for this totally enjoyable experience and great customer service.
The only thing not provided was a siesta space, but hasta la vista!
