“Feeling like at the 19th century”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 12, 2014

Ronda is anice and not to bid town. Ideal for shopping, visiting the monuments and enjoying El Poeta de Ronda. You stay in a very nice 19th-century house with the original furniture and decoration. They have a splendid terrace where you can have breakfast and a drink. There is an elevator available. Parking can be arranged at a much cheaper price.

The room was comfortable, quiet and well appointed. The location was very good and central. Breakfast was quite limited but freshly prepared. The staff were also helpful in all respects. I would recommend the hotel.

We loved staying in this small and charming hotel. Location is perfect. It is centrally located and in close proximity to the tourist attractions in Ronda. Receptionists were SUPER helpful and friendly and we have good memories of how they made us feel welcomed. Cleanliness standards are high. All areas are beautifully decorated and kept. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Our room on the third floor was quiet although it had a window looking at the side street of the hot...

Beautiful Rondo, it's a must to visit. We spent one night at Hotel El Poeta and we loved it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel looks like a mini museum, beautiful paintings and sculptures one every landing. Even though it was raining that did not stop us to walk around the town. The hotel room was very comfortable and good size. The only problem we had, was the leaky shower, we should have reported it. I am sure they fixed it by now.
We would definitely stay again.

We had an overnight stay in Ronda with friends and I could not fault the hotel for friendliness, cleanliness and position. It is situated right by the bridge, historic area and about 2 minutes from the bullring, one of the oldest in Spain and beautifully kept. The rooms were all different and good wi-fi connection, which is free |(I know this is important to some people, inc us). A great continental breakfast as well.
If you do stay here try Restaurante Duquesa de Parcent which is only up the side street, food great and stunning view of gorge and bridge.

Room Tip: If you are staying any length of time try to ask for a room at the back of the hotel as the road can...

Ronda is a charming, beautiful old city, so it seemed fitting that it should have a charming, beautiful old hotel and Hotel El Poeta is just that.

Our room was the superior double and was spacious at 30m². There was plenty of room in the bathroom as well. The hotel is about 50 metres from Puente Nuevo, which divides the city.
El Poeta is surrounded by heaps of shops and numerous eating places. All the sites we visited were within 1km walking of hotel. The manager was fantastic with any queries we had and was more than happy to help.

El Poeta is just over 1kms walk from the train station, without too many twists and turns, so it is pretty easy to find.

From the restaurant/cafe, which is attached to the hotel, we had a mixed tapas which was very reasonably priced at 10euros and there was more than enough to share between the two of us.

We hope to get back to Ronda again some day and we hope Hotel El Poeta will still be there waiting for us.

Room Tip: We had a room overlooking the restaurant/cafe below, (which is part of the hotel), with the road run...

We stayed here on our last night of our driving holiday through Portugal - finishing in Spain. Our room was on the 2nd floor, facing the street - however, we were pleasantly surprised as road noise was barely evident and the curtains must have had blackout on them as we slept very soundly and had to be woken by our friends! The room itself was very large, with an equally large bathroom and a large comfortable bed.

Reception was welcoming and they were happy for us to leave our bags until later in the afternoon when we were heading to the airport.
