“Waterfall dried up”
Reviewed February 23, 2013

Going in Feb meant that the waterfall was dried up and there was very little to look at! However there were kangaroos at the back of the tavern that made it a little more interesting.

“John Forrest National Park & Tavern”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

Very mediocre Tavern, and the area around is very run down and you have to pay to enter the park. There is the opportunity to so kangaroos but the overall experience is very disappointing.

“John Forrest National Park”
Reviewed January 21, 2013

It is an asset to have a National Park so close to Perth. People can ride into the national park, take their car or even catch a bus and get off at the entrance to the National Park. What is more you don't have to pay and you can enjoy the National Park in every way. Orienteering, picnics, barbeques, walking on tracks or having afternoon tea in the cafe. There are very few things that are free and that people can do who do not have a car. As our city becomes more dense, there must be places like John Forrest National Park for people to come and take in nature and enjoy the fauna and flora.

“A Natural environment and experience with heritage”
Reviewed January 18, 2013

I visited as part of a conference experience and was impressed. Carefully maintained gardens of native plants, rock edged walkways and a scenic walk through the old train tunnel make this an worthwhile place to visit for a days outing.
