Charming posada, well-located for exploring the Rioja wine-growing area, and conveniently close to Haro. As other reviewers have noted, the hosts are very friendly and helpful, ready with recommendations for places to visit in the region. The room we had was spacious with high ceilings that helped to keep it cool in the heat of July. It was comfortable and impeccably well kept. The bathroom was also a good size. Our breakfast was quite adequate.
The village is very small, sleepy and quiet. However, there is one bar/restaurant - a friendly and lively place at which to eat if you don't fancy driving one evening They happen to serve the wine from the winery belonging to the Castillo de Sajazarra, located in the village itself, - enjoyable and good value.
The same could be said for the Posada de Sajazarra and for La Rioja, in general - friendly hospitality and excellent quality at reasonable prices.
