“Charming Rural Cottage - Excellent Value!”
Reviewed May 26, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We thoroughly enjoyed our bank holiday weekend away! This cottage is well-equipped with everything you need, and Dick the owner was extremely helpful in providing directions, suggestions for walks, local eating etc. Although not large, the cottage is perfectly-sized for two and has a lovely character.

It's only a short distance to the Lake district, where we spent two days and there are attractive walks right from the front door. Renwick itself is a lovely little village and we enjoyed a trip to the nearby Kirkoswald where we had Sunday lunch at the award-winning Fetherston arms: we would thoroughly recommend this pub!

All in all we thought this cottage was lovely and excellent value, and hope to come back, and to recommend to our friends!

“Perfect Countryside Stay!”
Reviewed May 13, 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 2 nights and we really enjoyed ourselves wishing we could have stayed longer! It's perfect if you are looking for a relaxing break for a few nights as it is right in the countryside!

The cottage has everything you need for cooking, some DVD's and board games for entertainment and the 2 bikes came in handy too! One of the days we cycled too and back from Penrith which I would recommend if you have the energy! (it took around 2.5 hours each way) But it was lovely coming back to a glass of wine and the cosy wood burning stove!

I would really recommend staying here as it is great value for money and the owner Dick is really nice and helpful! Honestly perfect if you just want to spend some quality time together and hide away from city life for a bit!

Only 25mins in the car to ullswater and the lake district, we had our two dogs with us and couldnt of been more happy. The cottage is lovely, spottlessly clean and everytging from booking to directions and a warm welcome couldnt of been easier. We will definitely be going back.

“Short break”
Reviewed April 26, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Absolutely stunning location, remote yet not that far from other villages with amenities. Close to local tourist spots and walk, the cottage itself is charming, very comfy and felt a home from home especially with the stove. Would 100% recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing break away and will definitely return! Dick could not have been more helpful and will make your stay comfortable and enjoyable

“Ideal relaxation”
Reviewed April 26, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

Only stayed one night here due to work commitments but enjoyed it all the same!

Ideal for a weekend trip to get away from busy cities for a peaceful and scenic area. Only noise at night is the odd sheep

Cottage isn't huge but has everything you could need for a cosy night in front of the fire! Would return.
