At £11 for three courses from Wednesday to Saturday for a lunch which is superbly presented and wonderful on the palate it difficult to see how this could be bettered. I was genuinely pleasantly surprised by the quality and value of the food. Its a simple local pub set up with an open fire that is cosy, easy and relaxing.

Its good to combine with a walk along the river. I will return soon and would strongly recommend.

Visited again for lunch Wed 6 March 19, after a long gap.
Just as good as ever and NOT overpriced (evenings may be different ?).
Very pleasant service, quality food lovingly prepared.
I had the mussels followed by pigeon pie (delicious) with carrots. Only possible criticism, although I was not unhappy, no spuds.
My companion's black pudding fritters and salmon based fish dish looked just as good.
Good cup of coffeee too.
Wish it wasn't so far away...

A proper pub in a good setting with good food but oh at what a price. My friend had meat balls which consisted of only three of them in a rich gravy, the dish of vegetables meant for the two of us was barely enough for one and the cost was an over the top £16.50!!!. I had the rib of beef which was excellent and the cost of £16.50 for this was to be expected but was not exactly overgenerous in amount. The service was good and the atmosphere friendly but on the basis of cost I will not be going again.

A average pub trying desperately to punch above its weight and failing miserably. Shame as the building has potential.

After a long break ( for work reasons) we returned for lunch because we needed comfort-great food,a roaring fire and low key friendly service. Once again the Reindeer delivered on all counts.
