Very good location, good rooms made of tents with all the facilities.,polite staff, good food, nice place for dining. It has a private beach which is very clean & beautiful.Great sea view.None of the rooms are facing sea but does n't matter as the beach is very near.I think it will be great to go in monsoon for a long stay.

Room Tip: All rooms are good

The hotel is wonderful and staff is great too, but it definitely needs improvement in the old wing. Since I used both Old and the New Wing of the hotel, I was able to see an obvious difference. Ofcourse the food is great and the location wonderful, it needs some work. Since the Beach is on the mangrove they could provide us with more facilities or information about the nearby beaches to visit.

We booked into SeaShell at Neil Island for three nights, but we were quite apprehensive of the place after reading the mostly negative reviews about the resort. We even considered cancelling, but decided to go ahead anyway.

We were pleasantly surprised when we got there. The staff are courteous and warm enough, if not overly friendly, and they do a decent spread of buffets for all three meals. The rooms are large and comfortable (we stayed in the cottage) and the room service was prompt. The tents and cottages have a beautiful sit-out area where one can relax with an evening drink (bring your own booze) or coffee.

The only real negative about the place is the 'beach'. You cant swim here or even venture into the water because of too many dead corals -- but that goes for all beaches and resorts in Neil Island. None of the beaches here are silky smooth like Radhanagar in Havelock and walking on the sand hurts the feet a bit because of the dead corals and shells,

Really appreciate the manager, who when told that we were running out of cash, allowed us to clear our dues at Havelock or Port Blair as there are no card facilities at the island. Thankfully, we did not need to do that and managed to clear our bills,

Visitors to Neil Island Island must understand that there is only that much you can do here. Compared to most other restaurants and eateries here, SeaShell still provides the best room and food. They also need to install geysers in rooms and avoid the bucket of hot water on demand.

Our fears were unfounded, and we -- wife, son and I -- had quite a pleasant stay here. Maybe three nights is too much for Neil and a couple of days would have been fair enough.

Room Tip: Both tents and cottages seemed good. Tents however have hammocks outside

it is very nice place to stay and enjoy Nature's beauty. very close to Jetty station, sea shore and greenery.

Hotel maintenance was found little weak, however the staff was helpful.

Hot water was available in bucket on demand.

Rooms are made of Tents, but all the desired facilities are available in side.

Food service is available only in buffet system.

We stayed in sea shell resort in december'13.the hotel is simply superb ..the newly appointed manager Mr.Mishra is a humble and helpful person .the staffs are cordial and are ready to co-operate in all possible ways...the 31st night party was mind blowing(although a liitle expensive).rooms and tents are magnific. The food is also excellent...they provide hot water on request..the only drawback is that their private beach is a rocky one and nt suitable for swimming ..overall a very pleasant stay ..ne1 visiting neil should stay at this resort with no second thought ..
water sports are available bharatpur beach ...take an extra pair of dress as swimming and other water sports become irrestible..the rates at the beach are quite pocket friendly...under water sea life is best viewd at neil island as the water here is crystal clear..

Room Tip: rooms of lagoons are more spacious and better than luxury tents...the tents are also undoubtedly good
