“Hyped up dance with very little value”

Hyped up dance with very little entertainment value. For 100000 IDR this is total waste of money. Don't visit this place unless you have nothing else to do.

“We'll performed by dancers, but wasn't our cup of tea.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 4, 2014

Not the cheapest attraction to see dancers perform, there was a story to the show but was very hard to follow as none of the dialogue was in English. The dancers were excellent but it would have helped if we new what they were doing. I do not wish to rubbish it as it wasn't something that we liked but it might be something that others will. I will leave it up to your judgement. You can purchase drinks and souvenirs there and they have toilets but you will have to wait.

“Fairly interesting”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2014

Despite many people said it's really touristy, I found the show was interesting.
It shows traditional story, and nice costume.
If you don't understand Indonesian, it's ok because they have script in few different languages, very professional.
Entrance fee is fairly expensive.
However, if you ask me, will I watch it again, I might say no.

“It was not as entertaining as Kecak dance...”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 3, 2014

I went to watch this dance at Batubulan...It was really boring and i felt sleepy throughout the performance...The kecak dance at Uluwatu was more entertaining than this...The difference was that Barong had music 'gamelan' played during the performance and dialogues between the characters...and the story was entirely different that kecak..and towards the end, the story got a bit horny but it might be done to entertain the outsiders... Overall, i wouldn't recommend this to anyone...The admission fee is similar to Kecak at uluwatu...which is 100,000 IDR...but the performance is not nearly as entertaining as Kecak...

“It was so so......”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2014

My parents (in their 60's) and I arrived at 08:50am, expecting the show to start at 09:00am. But the show did not started until all the other tour buses arrived. Even though there're transcripts in different languages, the play was difficult to be comprehended. It's twisted to entertain western & had some dirty jokes.
Overall the show was so so. Only go if you have free time in Bali.
