I thought we would spend an hour here but were surprised to see so much more than just gorgeous orchids. There was also a beautiful butterfly exhibit that included Blue Morpho butterflies.
A aviary with colorful Lori birds that used our bodies as perches was memorable.
Children as well as adults will enjoy this place.

We went here in February. Place was very nice. Lots of parking. As you enter, you are greeted by a small circular pool with some turtles & fish, as you enter the garden, you are immersed in a very relaxing garden of flowers, scents, and sounds. Orchids are everywhere!! Hanging, planted, wall-climbing... you name it, they have it.
THIS PLACE IS BIG!!!! Wow, make sure you wear walking shoes, because you will need them. First area was all tropical plants with a very nice water scene. You can then walk to the Lori area. Lori's are birds native to Australia. Like Sparrows are common in the States & Netherlands, these birds are the same Down Under. They are VERY friendly (don't be surprised if one lands on your head!). As you walk from one area to another, you walk through thousands of Orchid plants in several nurseries on the grounds. The next big area is the Butterfly place. Very nicely done! They also have a few Iguanas in the area. Try to find them if you like. When we went there, one was on a metal beam on the ceiling and another was on top of a high rock. This area was considerably warmer than the other places because the butterflies need a warmer climate to survive. Other than the areas I listed, there is a kids area that has some really cool looking live bugs, the store area has so many sections you can look at also. This place is also dog friendly except for the bird area. The place has a food area as well and we enjoyed what the options were available.

The retail area of the store is very pretty. However there is also a paid for area with a butterfly garden and a behind the scene peek at growing tropical flowers. These are also both worth a visit.

Charge your camera, because you will be lost between orchids, butterflies and not forget the turtles. Oops you did not buy an orchid? It is time to go back to choice your own.

Great indoor attraction (especially for flower lovers) also for cold, rainy days. It’s located “in the middle of nowhere”, but quite easy to find. There is a big, free parking in front of the entrance.
The place consists of a few big interconnected greenhouses with flower shop and restaurant (don’t expect miracles – it’s Dutch cuisine). There are 3 theme gardens (tropical, Taiwan, Malaysia), butterfly garden and greenhouses where you can see different orchids in different growing stages. There is something for kids as well: big playground (well located – next to coffee machine) and hungry fish to feed.
I was there a few times at different seasons. Definitely the best time to go was December, just before Christmas – I never saw so huge amount of blooming orchids in one place.
