My fiancé and I spent quite some time looking for a restaurant in Rincon for our wedding rehearsal dinner. We stumbled on Cowboys thanks to TripAdvisor. Even though it didn’t have a ton of reviews as it opened in early 2014, the ones posted were overwhelmingly positive. And from the minute we got the quick email response back from the owners, Ben and Rita, we knew we had found the perfect place. Ben and Rita went above and beyond to accommodate us. They developed a special menu for the event of 45 people and even had those menus (with our names and a little wedding saying) printed out on cardstock. We had our own dedicated, covered area (about 90% of the restaurant is covered) for guests, which was great because it rained for a portion of the evening. As previous reviewers have mentioned, there were a few horses on the expansive property (get directions, but it’s not hard to find once you have them) and plenty of room for the kids in our party to run around.
Service was seamless considering the number of guests we had in our party. Drinks were constantly being brought and the special food menu choices were all appetizing and came in large portions for a very reasonable price – especially when you compare to what you get at some other restaurants in town. The feedback from every single guest was that they truly enjoyed the experience and food. My only minor critique was that the Kan Kan Pork Chop was slightly overcooked. With that said, the chicken, ribs, burger, and all the sides were fantastic….and I know that from trying all of them!
Our wedding planner, a local from Rincon, had never been to Cowboys and was so impressed she booked her upcoming birthday party at Cowboys. I highly suggest you consider having your event (or just dinner!) at Cowboys as it is sure to become extremely popular!
Note: Ben and Rita are also owners of Villa Cofresi if you are looking for a place to stay in the area!
