Quiet beach with some ability to surf but be a good swimmer or stay on the sand. My favotite beach in Ringing. Clean, good sand and quiet semi -private.

A quiet beach with the option of shade from the palm trees or sun. The wind was refreshing and the aqua blue water was so inspiring with the crashing white waves. Felt like I was living in a postcard. Lots of beach glass for collectors but a very clean clean beach for walking barefoot. Exhilarating!

Sandy Beach is the best beach to hang out at if you're just looking to relax in Rincon. It has the most sand real estate to lie out/walk on, which seems obvious, but many of the beaches don't have a lot of sandy space. At the south end of the beach is Tamboo, a great beach bar with a brand new shaded deck and increasingly good and affordable food (Very good the last time I went in Dec 2012 - the fish wrap was a favorite). It is also great for walking as you can walk miles up and down the sandy shore.

The beach offers a variety of vendors renting surf boards, chaise lounges and umbrellas, boogie boards and other items. The prices are fair, but you can definitely strike a deal if you haggle a bit. My girlfriend and I rented two chaise and an umbrella for the entire day for $15, down from $25.

The one caution about Sandy Beach is the rip current. All Rincon beaches have varying degrees of undertow that should be taken seriously, but Sandy Beach seems to have one of the stronger and more consistent ones. Do not take this lightly especially if you have children - there is no lifeguard at this beach.

As long as you're safe and smart and don't get too far from shore, Sandy Beach is a great spot to lay out, swim, body surf and generally let the stress of life melt away. A couple world famous Tamboo Mojitos never hurt either.

There are beaches, good surfing, great restaurants and fun little shops -- you could come here for a day or a weekend and never get tired of the good times.
