Warm welcome approximately 20 minute ride from airport. Plenty of greenery mango trees. Good equipment in exercise room with good size pool in the same location. Plenty of exercise walking the many stairs but this is necessary after such delightful breakfast, lunch, dinners and delicious wines. We walked for hours early mornings along the beach before breakfast. We also met Mia and four friends for these walks, it was so relaxing. We occupied a two level suite with our own plunge pool, which over looked the beach with full ocean view. There's no other place we would have wanted to spend my honeymoon. My husband collect fresh fruit from the native trees each morning and the bartender made breakfast drinks how refreshing. We located a local shop with in four minutes of the hotel while walking the trail way. Having two separate baths on each level a woman couldn't have asked for more. Only regret "Wished we had more days and should have sent in our review much sooner". This hotel is certainly at the top of our recommendation. Not far from shopping outlets.

We visited during ou stay in RINCON and were impressed with the facilities, room decoration and attention staff provided to us. We will certainly stay there for our next tri- - the owner himself took some time to lead us to the different areas and show us nthe new RESIDENCE Suites. They seem to be spacious, beautifully decorated w ocean Front location.

The swimming pool area is very quiet and relaxed, seems to be a perfect spot for a getaway...

The location was beautiful and our time relaxing during our stay, but for a 5 star hotel and a hefty price we were dissapointed. I would advise against the meal plan. When we booked the trip we were not told that the Aaron, the 5 star restaurant was only open 3 of the 5 nights we stayed there. The food was excellent, which saved the trip and the restaurant staff wonderful, but we way overpayed for the other restaurant. The manager would not let us cancel the meal plan even when my husband was sick one night and didn't have dinner or breakfast the next night. The hotel rooms were beautiful, nut in need of a paint job and we had ants in our downstairs bathroom...not quite the 5 star treatment we paid for.
The staff did help us with our bags the first day, but the morning of checkout there was no offer, my husband was ill, and over 5 staff members so kindly said good morning to me, but didn't offer to help me lug bags to our car.
The lovely views, warm weather, and good food saved our vacation, but would never return.

Thank you for giving us a feedback on your recent visit to our Hotel. I appreciate the positive comments and informed our staff about the other issues you mentioned.

The all suites accommodations at the Horned Dorset Primavera are no more then 5 years old and the last suites were opened in 2009, however I appreciate your feedback as there is always work to be done.

During the winter months we have two restaurants, one casual, the "Blue Room" and the more formal french restaurant "Aaron".. each one has its own appeal and following and it seems you liked the later better. I do apologize that you were charged for dinner and breakfast when your husband was sick and I have informed our Department heads about it and please contact me directly to clear this matter.

We are a small and privately owned hotel and try our utmost to please our guests and I do hope that we will have the opportunity to welcome you back again.

I have stayed in numerous hotels worldwide, and the Dorset is at the top of the list in luxury, service, accommodations and location. A true 5 star hotel in every way.

We stayed four nights in a two-story suite at the Horned Dorset Primavera in mid-March, 2010. The experience was heavenly. This is a very sophisticated, very upscale, not inexpensive getaway. Although children are welcome, it is likely not the type of place that would appeal to families with youngsters. One of my favorite aspects was a welcome letter advising that the "hotel has no planned activities." Although you can arrange day outings and in-room massages, the main activity is pure relaxation. This is a place to bring your books and your sunscreen and simply get away from the world. There are no tv's, and I'm almost embarassed to say that I took my laptop to the lobby a few times to access the hotel's wi-fi to check e-mail for an essential work-related project. The hotel has its own private beach and several beautiful pools. The staff, led by Mr. Sack, provide European style assistance -- they don't hover but are absolutely delightful and knowledgeable and ready to assist the minute you ask for anything. Our suite was beautifully decorated with mahogany furniture and an amazingly comfortable canopied four-poster bed on the second floor. Each suite has its own plunge pool and private balcony. The food, especially at Aaron, the more formal of the hotel's two restaurants, was wonderful (note: the formal restaurant is open only Wed-Sun). The night we arrived at the hotel, we learned that a special concert by a quintet of chamber music players was about to begin in the Restaurant Aaron. We dashed to our room, changed out of our casual travel clothes, and somehow made it to the concert on time. A wonderful dinner followed the concert. We must have been a last-minute addition, but the hotel managed to give us a prime table only about ten feet away from the musicians. It was one of those surprising, truly memorable evenings that we'll never forget.

We read the reviews on Trip Advisor and felt compelled to add our experience. Overall we found it to an excellent resort.

We found the rooms to be very comfortable in space and appointment. We found the dinning [both casual and semi-formal] to be outstanding in experience and good from a cuisine POV. Great wine list and you have to try to "pink pinnapple's" in the frozen drinks...truely outstanding.

I would add that the tacticle issues people faced with water and such were on in evidence for us and they indicated all were fixed. Lastly, and this was a plus from our POV, but it is fairly remote, you don't just run to town...of course their really was not reason to leave either.

This is a place we would return to, assuming we would actually go the same place twice. Hope you have a great stay and be sure to say hello to William and the the restaurant crew on our behalf!
