Staying in Rincón with my family and other relatives, we ventured out of the rental house and traveled to "Lucky 13 BBQ," as per the great reviews on trip advisor. They were accommodating in helping fit 11 people into their small space, and our waitress was helpful, but they were short staffed so her attention to our party was not the best. We were told about there not being pulled pork. Pulled pork was included in at least 5-8 meal choices and limited our menu choice a fair amount. Out of the few non-alcoholic beverage items, my son chose the one juice that they had... fruit punch. They were out of that. They also kept running out of different types of beer that my brother requested. Having 11 people in our party it was expected that it would take a while, but at Lucky 13 BBQ it took a noticeably long time to get the food out. From when the waitress began serving, 'till she put the last plate on the table, it probably took a total of 10 minutes to get everything out. Also, two members of the party ordered their "Santé Fe Chicken Sandwich" and it arrived to the table as a plain chicken sandwich with out the "Bacon Pepper Jack Cheese" or "Pico and Guac." We sent them back to the kitchen and they arrived back to the table with Bacon, and Cheese: not "Bacon Pepper Jack Cheese" as described on the menu (Please learn about the Oxford Comma rule). When they began to eat, they both realized there was not guac so we had to get some on the side side it was described with the item on the menu. When we got the check there was an order of pulled pork on it. A little ironic considering A) no one ordered it or received it and B) we were told at the beginning of the night that there wasn't any pulled pork. All in all it was not a terrible night but there were many classic errors that could have easily been avoided with better (or more) wait/kitchen staff. Yes it was a feat serving 11 people, but on top of serving it is necessary to provide great service in order to run a successful business.

right when you walk up to this restaurant/bar you get a welcoming feeling, warm smiles, fresh coffee (if you visit in the morning) good tasteful music and the intoxicating delicious aroma of slow cooked southern bbq pork! whether you are in for breakfast, lunch, or dinner the menu is full of options.. vegetarian, low calorie, and of course loads of pork, ribs, wings, chicken, all of your bbq favorites for the super hungry surfer or traveler. whatever you do, don't leave without trying the mac and cheese, no joke. not into bbq? no worries, they have a huge selection of tasty tacos; different kinds of fish, calamari, chicken, etc.. Wednesday is 50 cent wing night with a tasty selection of different wing sauces to choose from. also there is live entertainment Wednesday's, very good music you'll want to stay and have an extra beer after your meal! speaking of beer lucky 13 has a great selection of craft brews to switch it up from the usual constant medalla consumption! also on music there is a phenomenal dj that plays on Fridays that you have to check out! Love the atmosphere, up dated bright and welcoming, always something to look at while you dine. great, friendly, and helpful staff..knowledgeable about the menu and other local spots to check out in Rincon if you're a first timer. lucky 13 is definitely a must while staying in Puerto Rico!
