“Like staying with family”
Reviewed March 21, 2017 for a stay in March 2017

This gem of a house is on the best beach in Rincon for finding sea glass. The terrace can't be beat, the views are amazing and endless. We saw whales playing in the water one evening .The apt. is comfortable, clean and well organized.Nice to have the pantry stocked with basics. Just bring food and clothing !
The shower is big with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. We love the area, with locals that are friendly and a lot of dogs to play with. The walk down to the beach is great exercise. We found fresh grouper for the grill at The Meat Market of Rincon in town. Delicious!!

“Amazing sunset and great beach”
Reviewed February 12, 2017 for a stay in February 2017

Joseph's apartment was absolutely lovely. Sitting on the patio watching the waves and the sunset was what vacation was made for. The beach is just steps away. Joseph is helpful without ever being intrusive. We look forward to returning

We spent 6 nights in Rincon , at the Barrero Beach Apartment. It was perfect for our family the accommodations were just what we needed. Joe and his beautiful wife Pilar treated us like family and that was priceless. The balcony and ocean view were breath-taking we loved it! Everyone we met in the neighborhood was kind, and helpful. The location can't be beat the property sats basically right on the ocean with a calming sunset, and no crowds. The kitchen area was well equipped, as we did most of our own cooking. Before we departed, we let Joe know we would definitely be booking this property again in 2017. Highly recommend!!

“It's all about the patio and the view.”
Reviewed March 4, 2016 for a stay in February 2016

We stayed the entire month of February. I have been to Mexico, the Florida Keys, Bermuda, and the Bahamas; this was the most comfortable weather I have ever experienced. The apartment is up the side of a steep hill which gives you constant balmy breezes so it is rarely hot on the patio. Most mornings I ate mangos that had fallen from the tree next to the patio. There was also a lemon tree which shed 2-3 lemons a day. Snorkeling was very good. Tarpon are abundant if you like sport fishing; walk down to the road at the bottom of the driveway and follow the seawall till the road turns up hill. Just off the beach where the seawall ends I would see 10-12 tarpon swimming anytime I went down there. Joe was very accommodating and informative. The apartment is nothing fancy; but the only time we were in there was to sleep or eat; otherwise we were on the patio or out and about. The sunsets are beautiful to watch from the patio. The day before we left we watched whales that stayed just off shore the entire day. At the end of the day they were breaching and slapping tails on the water. The neighborhood is lay-back and the people are friendly; we felt safe taking hikes all around the area. We hope to go back.

“A piece of paradise!!”

This rental is not only affordable (which is very important to us) but the view is priceless! We found that this rental fit all of our needs. Everything from relaxing in the hammock under the mango tree to being able to cook our own meals (make sure you get some fresh fish from the market down the hill!) to being able to walk right down to the ocean. This rental is located only a short 10 minute drive to downtown Rincon and popular beaches such as Steps, Maria's and Dome's. Joe is a great source of info about the local eateries and hot spots. If Joe doesn't get back to you right away, don't worry he will and it's worth it!! We hope to go back again soon. Lisa

Joe's apartment was perfect for us as we desired a rental very close to the water but were not looking for a resort like experience. A very friendly laid back atmosphere, every day we felt like we were just returning home. The location is also great as it allows for easy access to most of our favorite spots in PR, from Cabo Rojo to Rincon and up to Arecibo. We would happily return again for what we considered a perfect vacation. As a bonus, the beach in front of the rental is not disappointing either, it is very picturesque and the swimming is very nice. You can also try your hand at fishing at night, which we did with no mosquito problems. Be prepared to catch something though, there are tarpon and they are large and hungry!! Scott
