My 12 year-old daughter and I had a great time learning about pottery from Miri together. She taught us a bit about clay properties, explained and demonstrated "wedging" and had us try it. Then for the really fun part: we got to learn how to throw on the wheel. It took us awhile, but Miri was so patient and so willing to try different ways to explain the process that we both achieved a creation: a cup for my daughter and a bowl for me. And then... after a thoroughly enjoyable time learning and doing in a a gorgeous setting (see other reviews; that beautiful and more), I examined Miri's work and was having a hard time not wanting everything. She's developed beautiful, simple forms and glazes. They're not only attractive, but truly useful - food safe and so forth: great for gifts for others and treats for self. :) Since our time, we've gotten faithful updates and pictures of our "creations" that my daughter and I share with each other and friends. A great afternoon and ongoing bond. Thanks, Miri!
