“Drinks..”
Reviewed January 27, 2014 via mobile

We have been there in two different vacations. After ordering some beers and realizing we paid $3.75 for each one, we always end up afraid to ask for a menu. Food has to be expensive too!
They do have the closest patio to the beach, so I imagine that is the best place to watch a sunset. However, I do not justified their prices.

“great view, fresh fish”
Reviewed January 25, 2014

If they have fresh fish, order it deep fried. The juke box is great; fun pool tables. Great view on the beach.

“Consistently Delicious and Great Value”
Reviewed January 6, 2014

The Cofresi is our 'go to' restaurant in Rincon. The staff is friendly, the food is always great, and the price is right. I would be hard pressed to remember a meal that wasn't as good as the previous one; i.e. the food is so consistently good that its scary.

Our favorite is the churrasco steak with baked potato.

We usually like to have our meal at the inside dining room. Often the A/C can make it a bit cold in this dining room but if you ask the staff they'll either adjust the temp or turn it off .

The only problem we have with the Cofresi is its continued success. Some nights it can get very crowded and that's when the service suffers; it can take a long time to get served. We avoid the Cofresi on those nights and go back on a quieter night.

“Late night dinner”
Reviewed December 24, 2013

We arrived close to 10:00pm after getting in late from San Juan. The sweet host at The Shipwreck referred us here as we missed the Shipwreck's last call for food. The outdoor bar was happening with a loud but great local band and their famous coconut cocktails (a coconut cut off at the top with a machete and filled with rum). The restaurant served us outside so we could enjoy the outdoor atmosphere but they also had an indoor seating area. My first monfongo con pollo (chicken, plantain, rice) was incredible. My boyfriend's chicken and rice stew was one of the tastiest dishes I tried during our trip - and we tried some super tasty things. I would order the chicken and rice stew next time. Can't wait to return to Villa Cofresi. If the hotel parking lot is full there is satellite parking with a golf cart to pick you up - located next to the main road.
