“Lovely lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 22, 2014

We stopped by for a Sunday lunch based on reviews. Wonderful setting with delicious food! We had pate and (white onion and cider) soup for start. Then a venison steak and braised lamb for mains. Absolutely delightful. Would recommend!

“Lovely atmosphere and good food ”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 9, 2014 via mobile

I've visited The Mill House twice now and on both occasions the staff have been really friendly, the food has been tasty and the atmosphere really good.

The restaurant and grounds are very clean and well looked after. Even the toilets, which can't be said of some establishments.

I've taken my two boys (5 and 2) and they have both enjoyed the food as well.

“Brilliant food and service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 15, 2014

Having been to The Mill House many times, we recently took my parents there for dinner whilst they were visiting from Spain. We were spoiled for choice with the menu, all finding it really difficult to choose just one option, and for the first time ever I would have been happy with any of the starters to be placed in front of me. When we did finally make our decision, we were all impressed by the quality of the food and the quantity, and two of us even stretched to dessert! The service was also great and the choice of beers and wine was exceptional for what is essentially a country pub. We will definitely be returning.

“Much Improved”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 24, 2013

We revisited The Mill House as we wanted to meet up with with friends near Odiham and were reluctant to use the Waterwitch after a previous expensive disasterous experience. I suspect The Millhouse has changed hands as we had quite a good time. Prices have risen a little but a wide selection of local real ales are a rare sight and well worth a try and there seems to be an encouraging focus on locally sourced produce . Service was good and friendly, surroundings were first class, meal prices ranged in price from just under £10 to over £15 but the surroundings are more restaurant than pub and quite interesting with exposed parts of the historic mill house nicely featured. All four of us enjoyed our meals and we will return in January 2014 to take advantage of the discount voucher we were given on leaving as a nice surprise Christmas gift

“Unbelievably Bad !!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 24, 2013 via mobile

Many years ago and under different management I dined in this restaurant (it was called Bluebeckers then). It was excellent!!!

Yesterday my wife and I and two friends went to lunch and it was awful. We waited for staff to take our order and it took around 40 minutes to arrive. The food was edible but not appear to be freshly cooked. We then waited a further 20 minutes to order dessert. We had to chase the staff and finally received dessert 40 minutes later! They had got the order wrong! This was corrected quickly!

This is a great venue but the service was abysmal and the food not much better. We will never return unless it is taken over by people who CARE and understand about food and service!
