After a week in France eating out at every meal we stumbled across S Comme. We spent 2 nights in Palaja , 3km outside Carcassonne, and it was so good we went on both nights. Run and owned by brothers from Belgium the food was by far the best we had in France. Very good service and pointers from the brother in the front of house, and some of the best beef and duck we've ever had. "You can cut the beef with a spoon", he said, and you could. Absolutely top class in every way but sensibly priced. The house wine is 8€ for a 1 litre carafe, or local wines around 20€ a bottle. Our bill for 2 people and 3 courses with wine was 95€. Our first night w as an unexpected find, our second was ahoy to relax in knowing we were going to have a wonderful meal. S Comme didn't disappoint. GO!
