Seven of us stayed in this beautifully restored house for 4 nights. It was comfortable (most comfortable beds ever!) , warm and very well equipped, in the heart of an authentic French village. It was well placed to visit the champagne towns of Epernay and Reims. All in all we had a wonderful time. Many thanks to Isabelle.

We have just come back from a week in Champagne, staying in La Maison du Clos Rigaux in Dormans. We could not fault this town house in any way. It was clean, spacious and comfortable. The weather was fabulous so we were able to make good use of the small garden and terrace.
Dormans is a small town on the Marne, well placed for Reims and Epernay, the main champagne towns, as well as being just over ah hour from Paris. Dormans itself has a small chateau (privately owned I think and not open to the public) and, behind it, a stunning memorial to those who died in the two battles of the Marne in WW1 - well worth a visit.
Just opposite the house is a small and typically French bar - Le Champenois - if you are willing to give your French a go, pop in for a beer or glass of champagne!

This was our second trip to the champagne region. The accomodations were far better than imagined. Our host, Isabelle, was very helpful and accomodating from the very beginning. The house was beautiful, well furnished with modern conveniences. After long days of champagne tasting, it was the perfect place to relax. We cooked almost every night. The house is centered in the village of Dormans, with shops, bakeries and restaurants only a short walk away. We highly recommend this rental.

A lovely renovated gem in the middle of this quaint village in the middle of Champagne. Excellent location to visit all the region has to offer. A large grocery store within minutes of the house makes cooking dinner in the well equipped kitchen very easy, not to mention allowing you to fully enjoy the outdoor terrace for dinner and drinks. The interior decor was fabulous and done to perfection. Communication with the owner was easy and quick responses when setting up the reservation. Six of us stayed in this house very comfortably, which makes this an extreme value for your stay in Champagne. I can't recommend Clos Rigaux enough and we are actually trying to decide when we can go back again for another visit.

Wonderfully presented and equipped property set in a very good touring location about 30 minutes drive west of Reims/Epernay.
The best self-catering accommodation we've encountered and Isabelle Bertin made the booking process easy with very good communication via email.
Dormans has a small selection of shops and restaurants and is very much an authentic French town and not a tourist trap.
Lunch at "La Table Sourdet" virually oppossite across the street is a treat with 3 course menu of the day costing about 11 Euro.

This home is superb - spacious, beautifully decorated - attention to detail is in evidence everywhere. Everything has been thought of - fully equipped kitchen, gracious living and dining areas, excellent bedrooms with superior bed linens, full laundry facilities and a garden/ barbeque/oustside dining area. A short drive to both Epernay and Reims, with great restaurants in Dormans, supermarkets, butchers, bakers etc in walking distance, with an excellent weekly market in Dormas as well - and complimentary champagne upon your arrival. A real home away from home - and Isabelle couldn't be more helpful with recommendations and was so helpful in making reservations etc for us. Many thanks Isabelle for a truly wonderful stay in Champagne.
