“Great Food and Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 22, 2014

After our Ziplining we got dropped off in town and had lunch at Ricky's. The food was good and plentiful and the service was outstanding. The burgers were very good.

“Large servings and wonderful views”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 11, 2014

If you're hungry, take yourself immediately to Ricky's. The servings are huge, quite tasty and the views are wonderful. It's located centrally in the main street of Oneroa village and looks directly down a viewing shaft to Oneroa beach. It's quite spectacular.
Lunchtimes can get very busy and though Ricky's have lots of waiting staff on, it can take a while to lodge your order at the counter. But I recommend you persevere because the excellent kitchen staff (Yvonne and Pio in particular) go out of their way to get your meal to you without much delay.
I had the spiced calamari rings - delicious. My husband had the spare ribs - because he just can't resist spare ribs. His rating was OK.
Seating is quite tight at times but then it's all about timing.

Haven't dined here but stopped twice for coffee and to take advantage of the free 30 minute wifi access which is great for travellers.

“Love this restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2014

We've been to Ricky's a handful times now, and I love this restaurant. The outdoor/indoor seating is presented in a way that allows you to sit in the shade, the sun, whatever your preference.

Food is beautifully presented, whether you are having the antipasto (yum, to die for), a bowl of chips (I started having a few too many of these) or cups of tea, or even an evening drink.

There are Thursday quiz evenings, which, while we haven't taken part in them, and have just been onlookers while we've been eating, appear to be a barrel of fun. Only downside has been the quiz-master who has problems pronouncing even the simplest words. While this was cute initially the first time we witnessed/heard it, after a couple of hours, it becomes downright tedious and annoying. Slit my throat, get me away from this, kind of stuff.

When I think of places I want to take a visitor to on the island, Ricky's always springs to mind, because their food and the decor/setting can be relied on.
