Description: We’re an award-winning beachside bistro with three gorgeous guest rooms. Situated on stunning Waiheke Island, The Inn’s perfectly located in the heart of Oneroa village, with gorgeous views across the bay. Whether you are settling in for a weekend lunch with friends, a night away, or simply a crisp glass of wine at the bar, we have just the spot for you. Since opening we've become a Waiheke institution, much-loved by the resident locals, our regular Auckland visitors and those visiting from further afield. Just a 35 minute ferry ride from downtown Auckland, there’s no traffic jams getting here. Book a table on our sunny verandah and happily sip away as you watch the world, and a few dolphins, go by. Open 12 noon until late...

Came here based on recommendation and truly loved our lunch. Food is so fresh, and they get two batches of oysters daily. Enjoyed the Goldies Reserve white wine, and also the Man'O'War as pairing

On Waiheke for the day, my little tribe decided to book for dinner on arrival in the afternoon, on recommendation. I’m so glad we did. We had one of the best meals of our lives- in fact the fish of the day was the finest I have ever tasted: the flesh so perfectly cooked and completely fresh- I’m salivating just thinking about it again! The waitress, Kerry, was the perfect combination of attentive yet discreet service, and was so lovely with our youngest: a somewhat temperamental three-year-old who decided to quarter his chips one by one on the table itself, continuing on the floor! I sent my wine back after a few swigs, as I was ignorant of the distinctive local Sauvignon, but it was swiftly replaced with a Marlborough with apologies or me being made to feel stupid (which of course I was). Our three kids’ fish and chips (NZ: fush n chups) was similarly outstanding. The local oysters were too tempting to resist, although they were the most expensive (at an eye-watering $5 each), and the deserts were to die for. Such a memorable meal- thank you Oyster Inn.

Before arriving on the island everyone recommended we visit this place. The restaurant experience delivered quality service and food and I am happy to report that it is worth the stop. It was our last stop before the boat back to Auckland. Oysters, more wine and and appetizers. Staff was great. Thumbs up.

Don't be put off by the name if you dislike oysters. The menu has a wide range of different dishes to suit every taste. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. The oyster connoisseur among us said they were the best oysters he had ever eaten. We wre lucky enough to get a balcony table and loved the view over the village to Oneroa.

Found ourselves here after our whale watching trip was cancelled, and we jumped on the ferry to Waiheke Island, and our bus tour guide recommended we try the oysters.
We were like kids at Christmas when we found out all the oysters were two for one,and so decided to order twice as many! The Kilpatrick and the Rockerfeller were delicious, but the stars were the natural oysters, which were just so fresh and lovely.
Washed them down with a range of wines that were available by the glass, highlights included Dog Point, Gravestone, and Passage rock sauvignon blanc, and a Two Paddocks Riesling.
Great, calm informative service from Nick, and a balcony table with a sea view, helped to make our Waiheke trip, and indeed our last day of our Lions tour a great one.
