We arrived after a long drive to a wonderful view of the lake and a couple sitting in the garden drinking tea.... And then we went inside the property and were greeted with wonderful hospitality and service. Sean was outstanding and we felt as though Annette and Paul had invited us into their home. The breakfast was wonderful and the setting was fabulous. We were on a whirlwind golf trip, which in Ireland means that you have to bring extra balls, and Paul was kind enough to give us an extra supply for our next round. It was a delightful experience and on our list for a return visit.

A beautiful Inn and travel respite near Killarney. It overlooks a pasture and lake, offers great food and the innkeeper/owner is helpful in every way. This is a must place to stay when visiting Ireland.

Room Tip: Choose a room with a lake view.

We were completely impressed with our 3-day stay at Loch Lein and so glad we booked in such a beautiful setting on the lake instead of in town. The house itself is lovely and atmospheric. Our room was enormous and comfortable and had a great view onto the lake; the bathroom was also large with a separate shower and tub. We felt pampered from the first offer of coffee or tea in our room when we arrived, and the level of service continued throughout. Food was delicious, both breakfast and the one dinner we had at the hotel. Annette and Paul and Sean could not have been more gracious; when we needed to see a doctor, they handled it almost instantly, and were attentive and concerned about it going well. They washed some jeans for us and refused to charge anything, because it was such a “little thing.” My only criticism is that the wifi was kind of iffy in the room; I had to walk around to try to get a connection and I hope they’ll get to fixing that, as it’s so important these days. Otherwise, nary a quibble. We only wished another day that we could spend just relaxing around the hotel and grounds and enjoying the scenery. Can’t imagine anyone not loving this place. Would stay there again in a nano-second.

I booked this hotel based on Tripadvisor reviews. It was our first time in Ireland, so I can't compare Loch Lein with any other hotels or b&b's in the area.

We were there to see a little of Ireland and visit our daughter studying abroad. I had to change the night of our stay last minute and Annette could not have been more accommodating!

The setting is breathtaking - beautiful water views and immaculate grounds - and the hotel was VERY clean!!

The staff was very nice and helpful.

The hotel, however, was dated. Our room was large but the bed was not that comfortable. The linens were older, the TV was very small, our bathroom sink was cracked.

Internet service was extremely poor. No service in your room. So, the entire lobby was filled with people trying to get access.

In the morning, you cannot find a cup of coffee until they open the dining room. It was around 8:15am, the morning we were there. Once open, breakfast was very good and served fast.

We only spent one night and did not spend much time in our room.

We stayed in Loch Lein Country House for a family wedding last month. Approx 30 adults and several children. The hotel is beautifully located overlooking the lakes in peaceful and scenic majesty. The interior is spacious and tastefully decorated. The bedrooms are well laid out and very comfortable. The owners and all staff were extremely friendly and accomodating. The food and service were top drawer - all in all - a great experience and highly recommended!
