I stayed in this hotel in July with my boyfriend and thoroughly enjoyed this amazing hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and contributed to a magical experience. The gentleman at reception I think his name was Mark was super friendly and Emer the manager was superb and obliging along with the girl that provided the horse riding. Not one bad word to say about anything in this hotel the rooms were spacious and luxurious and the view from the lake room was spectacular! The outdoor heated pool was a lovely treat along with the top range sauna and steam rooms. Will definitely be back to visit this hotel soon again.

When i booked on website i was asked was there any special requests. I wrote in our booking it was a significant wedding anniversary. The lady on reception choose never to unveil the human approach and even wish us a happy anniversary when i even mentioned on arrival also. We choose this hotel to celebrate and we were dissapointed. In the past we have stayed in the most luxurious hotels and yet to find a member of staff so cold at reception. In my innocence we booked a golf side room. I asked considering with our wedding anniversary if they could provide a complimentary upgrade however this person on reception rudely dismissed this. She said all rooms were full. We were handed the key and waved away. The lady we met was exceptionaly RUDE. On arrival to room it was not one bit impressive. Small and looking out at trees. Awful. We then looked up on our ipad to see if any lakeview room available and surprise surprise there were a few rooms contrary to what lady in reception had said. We rang reception to say we were not happy with room and would pay any additional cost for the lakeview room. We arrived back down to reception to unfortunately get the same lady again who this time decided to give us lakeview room with no additional cost. This was not about the cost but the total unprofessional first experience at a five star hotel. As they say u never have a second chance to make a first impression! I know her name and choose not to reveal her name, that is managements job.

Fantastic on every level. Staff are amazing, Klaus in The Brasserie (award winners) was a gent. Food was spectacular and the breakfast was a real treat. Rooms were breathtaking, lovely views and bizarrely affordable minibar prices. Leisure facilities well exceeded the five-star rating. We will most definitely be back. 5/5

A beautiful, elegant, modern hotel on the lake with four, lovely Haflinger horses that are tacked up and ready to ride on the grounds. Amazing. Excellent service, friendly staff, comfortable beds, rain shower plus large tub in our spacious bedroom. The work out room is the best we've seen with 4 treadmills, assorted bikes, rowing machine, lots of free weights plus weight machines. A room set up for spinning class. Gorgeous indoor and outdoor pools plus hot tub, sauna and eucalyptus. A truly stunning facility, a quick 10 Euro trip into Killarney. Killarney has many pubs, sweet shops, clothing stores, and all the usual amenities. Plus horse drawn carriages to get you around town or a sight seeing tour. Nearby Muckross Farm was nice to visit. We stayed at The Europe Hotel for two nights as part of a larger tour trip throughout Ireland.

Room Tip: Some rooms have balconies facing the river. 3rd and 4th floors have the best views.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in May this year and everything about the stay was perfect. The staff were extremely pleasant and created an extremely relaxing environment for the guests. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The breakfast offered a vast choice and everything was to a very high standard. The spa area was lovely especially the outdoor heated pool overlooking the lake and mountains, we did not have massages so I cannot comment on those. We ate in both the brasserie and the main panoramic restaurant and both meals were fabulous. The hotel is perfectly situated for walks in the killarney area, however it is slighlty out of town if you wanted to eat in the town in the evenings. As the restaurants were such a high standard we ate in the hotel each night anyway. The only thing that went wrong was when we arrived our room was not ready even though it was half 3, we were advised to sit in the reception area. We were left waiting for 40 mins as they forgot about us and were not given a drink or anything while we waited. However after our very enjoyable stay it was quickly forgotten. I plan on staying here again and hope to do it very soon.
