The swimming pool and spa area were a pleasure.Staff in the spa are very professional and helpful as are all the staff in the hotel. It is defintely the best spa I have been in.Cant wait to return next year...

Just back from a one night stay in this hotel. Myself, my sister & two little nieces had booked into the banna beach resort in Kerry but on arrival the houses were cold & very dated - having an 8 week old with us we decided to look for alternative accommodation we tried some hotels in Tralee with no availability we drove to Killarney to look for a few more but as the rally was on this weekend everything was booked up until we tried hotel Europe & all I can say is it was so worth finding..I arrived into the reception at 10o clock having left two tired girls in the car, begging for a room as after this we'd be driving home..Grace in reception couldn't have been more helpful, she went totally beyond the call of duty to accommodate our needs & it's people like Grace make this hotel worthy of its 5 stars. The room we were given had two bedrooms interconnecting, and was totally "wow", the gym was the best hotel gym I was ever in with everything from cardio to free weights - all "techno gym" equipment, my 2 year old niece loved the playground and the complimentary horse riding was just one of the many extra special touches this hotel offers. All in all I couldn't recommend it highly enough, Iv never been to a hotel before that makes me want to give up a days shopping for a day in a hotel & that says a lot coming from a shopaholic. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer. Am planning my next trip already & I can't wait to go back.

We stayed at this hotel for a week-end break. Right from the start everything was wonderful. Room was nice, free wi-fi, spa (vitality pool / half in/out) was magnificent. The location itself is nothing short of spectacular over looking a large lake and with beautiful mountain back-drop. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Surprising though how the charges add up even over a week-end, but you get what you pay for. One thing I would expect though from a 5 star is freshly squeezed juice rather than the concentrate mass produced stuff. But that is a very small point on a fine hotel.

I was really excited about staying here because it looked amazing in all the photos. This hotel and the surroundings do look impressive but that's about it. The service is TERRIBLE, they were very understaffed and the staff that were there seemed more interested in fixing tablecloths that actually serving you. The food is OVERPRICED and BLAND at best - not a good place to eat. The breakfast is very DISAPPOINTING; a 5* hotel should have a menu breakfast option. Overall I think this hotel was a waste of money, it is well below the standard that a 5* hotel should be.

My husband and I stayed for two nights B&B at the hotel and it was AMAZING! Our room had a wonderful lake view that took our breath away (Despite the miserable weather which rained constantly and let up for a spot of sun and then another downpour followed!) The real treats for us were the free horse-riding (Which really could have gone on longer!) It was literally 15 minutes around a path, the amazing Irish musicians who played in the bar on the Friday night and the spa! The outdoor thermal spa is AMAZING and allows you to sit back, relax and take in the stunning views. My only criticism is that children are allowed in the spa! We were there on a Sunday morning and around 6 young children were splashing about in the pool when everyone else was trying to relax- I really think they should have a separate area for kids as the spa environment is not suitable. The food was fairly good but like most restaurants in Killarney, overpriced. We love this part of Ireland and will be returning. The scenery is out of this world and the Europe is an idyllic place to stay.

Spent two relaxed days at this hotel, it's outside Killarney nessled under a mountain looking out over a lake, fab views and facilities. It's a place for a couple who have left the kids with granny to just chill and enjoy.

To step out from the day to day happenings of life for 24 hours could not be done in nicer surroundings of Hotel Europe. Complete luxury, relaxation and bliss is guaranteed once you enter the hotel. The spa, with it's out of this world facilitities, namely the outdoor vitality pool with the envious location on killarneys lower lake with the mountains as a back drop, will leave you with nothing more than an urge to return. Fine dining to suit every palate, and every pocket. Room with a view, spectacular from our balcony. No need to leave the grounds, if relaxation, walks and scenery is your forte!
