My wife, daughter, son in law and myself stayed at the Sea Parrot 14 - 21 Sep 2012. The accommodation was perfectly presented and offered many facilities; including all the necessary essentials we needed on arrival. We had our own bbq which made eating outside very enjoyable and the hot tub was a brilliant attraction.

The price was extremely competitive and the welcome we received from Lonnie and Roy was the best we have ever had across many countries.

We will be back and would recommend the Sea Parrot to anyone.

Quiet and beautiful location, incredible views of the ocean, room was big, bright, and warm. Owners were friendly and helpful, and genuinely enjoyed welcoming their guests, and bent over backwards to ensure they were comfortable. We'd stay there again.

Relaxing, exploring the island, contemplating the beauty of the sea--what a true blessing! We stayed five nights in the one-bedroom cottage at the Sea Parrot, and would have loved another week, at least! It was perfect for us--roomy, clean, quiet, private, with a front porch complete with swing for gazing out at the ocean and pondering the meaning of life!

Our arrival was later than we had expected, but Lonnie welcomed us warmly, saying she had put a couple of lobsters in the oven just in case the restaurant she had recommended was not open and we had not been able to find a place for dinner. We didt get to enjoy Lonnie's lobsters, though, as we had just had one at the Lobster Galley. Since it was dark when we drove in, we didn't see the incredible view until morning, but it was definitely all that has been described, maybe even more.

My husband uses a motorized scooter, and Lonnie and Roy devised a plan to make it easier for him to get from the vehicle across the gravel to the cottage and to tour the grounds. This made our stay even more enjoyable.

This place was just what we were looking for--not the Ritz, but something so much better! A place where we could kick back and pretend we were at home with the ocean as our front yard! You couldn't ask for more accommodating hosts than Lonnie and Roy. We are already trying to figure out when we can make the long trip from Texas to return to the Sea Parrot.

I have been a return customer of the Sea Parrot for the past four years and there's a reason for that-- it's amazing! It's hard to find a place to start; the grounds themselves are beautiful, the rooms are nicely updated and very clean, the owners are so friendly and make you feel so welcome. Lonnie is full of wonderful recommendations on where to eat, and tours to go on; kayaking, puffin tours, zodiac tours, etc. and she even gets you a discount on them!!
The Sea Parrot is a wonderful bed and breakfast and even though I just left two days ago I already can't wait to go back next summer.
Thanks for everything Lonnie and Roy, miss you and I'm looking forward to seeing you and your wonderful Yorkies again next summer!

We had the pleasure of staying 3 nights her on our road trip. This is a great property, nicely set back from the road so it is very quiet. There are a variety of room choices, Suites to cottages. Which makes this work for couples or families. Despite the number of rooms we found our stay very quiet and private when we wanted it to be. The property is right on the ocean with a nice view of Bird Islands in the distance. There had been a stormy day the day before we arrive which had turned up the floor of the ocean, and gave us the opportunity to watch a number of seals feeding just off shore for a couple of days. Breakfasts were very nice, the variety of choices available was a nice option. The location was convenient to numerous activities on the east side of the Cabot Trail.

We had a great four-day visit to Cape Breton, using this as our home base. The views were lovely, Lonnie and Roy are fantastic hosts. Campfires with all the kids staying at the Sea Parrot were a highlight for my daughter. It was hard to leave!

We were received very warmly and had a great stay. Lonnie and Roy and their facilities were very child-friendly too. Our accommodations were cozy and comfortable, though we would've liked to have plates to go with the useful kitchen and fridge. The view from our room was wonderful, as was the sound of the ocean. The extensive waterfront was great too. Games and hammocks were a nice touch. Breakfasts were generous and tasty.

Room Tip: We liked the "nautical room"
