The great: the location was exceptional for a 6:30 AM departure out of Milan. The price was comparable enough to the other nearby hotels, but the convenience of rolling out of bed and into the terminal could not be beat when you are talking about 4:30 AM. The rollaway bed (which we needed as we had 3 adults in one room), was far and away the most comfortable rollaway bed ever, and I am a 6'0" adult who likes a good bed.

The good: the 45 minutes free internet access, the bar/restaurant had pretty good food and was fairly priced, the lap pool (for me, as I brought a swim cap/goggles with me on vacation), getting great water pressure in a nice large shower after 10 days of unreliable water pressure and small showers.

The bad: The nickle and diming: paying for wifi ticks, especially for a hotel that probably sees it's fair share of business travelers. The pool for my two friends, who are not in training for a swim race and therefore did not have a swim cap with them. In order to use the pool, you must have or buy a swim cap, sort of ridiculous. I am a tech savvy person, yet was not able to figure out how to print out my boarding pass on their computer/printing stations. The 45 minutes of internet was prohibitive when shared among 3 people.

Overall, I would book this property again, which is why I am giving it a very good rating. Bring a swim cap if you want to swim, don't plan on free wifi or more then 45 minutes of internet usage on their public computers.

Dear Ellemsmith,

Thank you for staying with us, we are more than happy to hear about your satisfaction and
The feedback of your experience it help us to do better at Sheraton Malpensa.
In relation to the swimming pool , for hygiene reasons we require a swim cap; we have looked on the market the cheapest solution and tried to keep its price at the lowest level possible.
Our Link @Sheraton is programed to provide a 45 minutes internet access, in case of major
our reception is ready to provide additional login. Indeed WIFI in your room is subjected
to a cost with the costs related to the period required.
We have passed your comments to our IT office for the difficulties you had with the link printers in printing the boarding pass. In each Link@Sheraton we have positioned written instructions either for the local printer or the Printer On. ( a dedicated printer using your personal computer).

We look forward to have you back in a nearest future.

With warmest regards,

The good: location at the airport, front desk was well organized and the folks were good, room was large, clean, and well decorated. Softest king bed in Italy. Luggage helper was also a good guy. The upgrade to the club room is probably worth it just for the breakfast (pancakes, waffles, etc. etc.)

Not so good: TV didn't work because remote was dead, bathtub did not drain (stood in 6-8 inches of dirty water), there was a persistent clicking noise coming from out side the window (maybe the aluminum frame..) that kept us up, walked down some hallways where various components were hanging out of the ceiling. The mini-bar was electronic, so when you picked up a can to see what it was it added the item to the bill. Terrible design though we got it sorted at checkout. Pool required a cap to use (typical in Italy i believe) and the steam room was 10 Euro. We didn't use either of them. The restaurant was overpriced as are many airport restaurants but this place took it to new levels: 36 Euro for four shrimp that didn't taste very good, 6 Euro for a Diet Coke. Room window faced the sun....the AC did not keep up and only cooled the room after the sun went behind the mountains. Very easy to get lost if you use the stairs. The one business computer i sat down to was bogged down/slow.

My ratings are primarily a function of the two key ingrediants to a good stay, sleeping and showering, this room was poor at best.

Room Tip: Ask not to have a mountain view room when warm/hot out unless you want the AC to struggle. Get a room on the airport side.

Dear Scottel,

We regret to learn of your dissatisfaction and experience with us, we thank you for your feedback that help us to correct any inadequacies,
All points you have listed have been taken in great consideration, it is obvious that we have failed to deliver the services you expected.
This is not the kind of experience we aim to our guests and would like to apologies for any inconveniences we have unintentionally caused.
Our minibar system is electronic with sensors and programed for 60 seconds pick-up, before the charge automatically is reversed on the client bill; it is our standard
at check-out to show you the information bill, giving the possibility to verify all items.
At our SPA, the use of our swimming pool is free of charge, the SPA requires the use of a shower cup for hygienic reason and the steam room (wet zone) for our clients
cost 10 Euros instead of a normal fee of 25 Euros per person.
About your experience at our restaurant, we regret that the food was not up to your expectations, we will pass your comments to our Executive Chef.

We cannot change your experience with us, but we trust in some way to have the possibility to show you the real service you expect at the Sheraton Milan Malpensa Airport Hotel.
We thank you hope to welcome you back in the future.

Nothing beats being a few steps away from the check-in desk for a morning flight. I arrived from Milano (where I was visiting a friend) via train and immediately went to the hotel a few paces away from the tracks. The staff was friendly and checked me into a room that did not require a long walk. The room was first rate. All the amenities necessary for a good night's rest was there. Had I wanted to use my computer, I would have had to pay extra. For the price of the room not being too inexpensive, WI-FI should be included. I found the bathroom size closer to USA standards and was able to shower without feeling claustrophobic. The room was quiet so I slept well. The only other complaint I have is the price of the beer at the hotel bar (I expected it, but still want to complain). After having been in Poland for a week earlier in the month and only paying a couple of bucks for 0.5 liters of great beer, I was floored by having to pay almost $12. Anyways, I made my check-in with plenty of time to spare since it took me about 5 minutes to go to the Delta counter. Overall, it was a great experience.

Room Tip: The rooms are all good.

Dear Aldo47,
Thank you for your review telling your experience with us ! It is good for us to know that you
had a comfortable night. We regret that you have found the bear too expensive compared to
Poland reality , indeed rates are different from those you are reporting to us aligned on the price and cost level
with others hotels of our category in our Region and often less expensive if compared with other airport hotels.
In order to respons to the guest’s need we provide free connectivity in our two Link@Sheraton at disposal to our
guests, where internet connection is free of charge for 45 minutes each time.
We thank you for being with us and hope to see you back in Italy on a next vacation

A typical Sheraton- well appointed but soulless. The room was large and clean and the bathroom was unexpectedly spacious. There's 45 minutes of free wifi either with your personal device or with a bank of computers on the ground and 1st floor. Be warned- printing something like a boarding pass can become a drama as the computers seem to be very buggy. The food is decent. The service is polite and friendly. One of the best things about the hotel is that it's a 5 minute walk to Malpensa Terminal 1. It's also right about train stations taking you into Milan proper.

We spent the last night of our vacation in Italy by staying at the Sheraton Malpensa. The hotel is wonderful - clean, modern, quiet, comfortable. The staff was wonderful and attentive. The proximity to the airport was perfect for an early morning international flight when one doesn't want to have to deal with taxis or trains.
The only reason I didn't give it a full rating of 5 was because they somehow misplaced our reservation - and if we hadn't printed a copy of the confirmation, I'm not sure if we would have been able to get a room at the rate we expected.
If this hadn't happened, it would have easily been an exceptional rating.
I travel for business a lot - this would be a great business location as well.
