Back in December '13, my wife and hired a taxi and spent the day at Ourika Valley. We then proceeded to acquire the services of a guide that could take us through the valley with Setti Fatma being the last leg of the journey.
We may of got over-charged for our guides services (300d), but we know that we're not gonna come here ever again. So at the expense of a few dirhams, we had one of our best experiences of our trip in Morocco. Setti Fatma is the small Berber village that you encounter when coming to the end of the tour, but lots to see before then!
Some sound advice to give any readers, is trekking up and down the mountains is not for the faint hearted. It definitely requires physical attributes that are needed on even the coldest of days!
The echoes around the valley, harbour the sounds of the Atlas Mountains. The vision of the mountains also excels here magnificently, but personally we think the waterfall honour goes to Ouzoud.
But to video this fantastic place and look back on it years to come, will be fine memories of what travelling overseas is all about...

I hiked the overnight trek from Imlil to Stti Fatma, I arrived in Setti Fatma in the afternoon, I was planning to stay the night. But it was so horrible compared to the untouched nature and villages on my way, and everywhere in the Atlas mountains. Imlil is touristy, but it still looks OK. Setti Fatma is just an anarchic row of restaurants and other businesses, all of them built as cheap as possible, there isn't any nature left. It is the worst place in the whole of the Atlas mountains.

We went to Setti Fatma as the final stop on the Ourika Valley excursion.
Not really much to do there. There is a water fall that is about a 45 minute climb up into the mountains from here, but as we had our 2 year old son with us this was not possible.
There is however a beautiful Berber restaurant there called La Belle Rose, which served us a delicious lunch. It was a set menu of 3 courses for 120 MAD per person, which was cheap. It was a nice experience tasting real Berber foods.
