“Nice day trip to get away from the craziness in the city”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

We did an excursion to the Atlas Mountains (the Ourika valley and waterfalls) two weeks ago. The villages in the mountains are adorable, and the views great. Although you are away from the hussle in the city, many vendors still manage to locate tourist stopping to take pictures.

“SUV Journey through the Atlas Mountains”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

We enjoyed stopping at the small villages to see how crafts are made. People are lovely! Along the way we stopped for lunch at the Richard Branson resort, purchased a carpet and many special trinkets for friends at home.

“Trekking in style”
Reviewed October 6, 2013

The best part of the High Atlas is the Berber people and villages. You don't have to trek high as the villages and village life is so interesting just walking through the valleys and stopping to talk to the locals is amazing. If you do go high it is very dry and stoney and probably best done in spring or autumn when it is not too hot and there is still some snow on the peaks.

“Up and Up”
Reviewed October 6, 2013

Very interesting and changing landscape. It's quite a bit of a drive but nevertheless worthwhile. We visited some villages, ate some typical Moroccan food, spoke to locals, bought fruit on the side of the road.
