We stayed here for 3 nights as we wanted to be close to the mont st michel. We were really happy with the stay. Welcoming and friendly owners. We enjoyed a delightful meal with them which was restaurant quality and great value for money. Beautifully room overlooking court yard. Comfy firm bed. We fell in love with the nona the dog, ducks and cats. We didn't have a problem finding the cottage. It is about a 20 min drive to the Mont St MIchel which was fine. It is about a 10min drive to the nearest town Pontorson which was lovely. Good range of restaurants and Boulangeries. I wouldn't heisitate to recommend this place to anyone. It was a home away from home.

Really nice guesthouse with welcoming landlords! Great place to stay when you visit Mont Saint Michel, Fougères.. Quiet bedroom with a view to the garden. Nice price with breakfast included. We really had a great time there.

We have just had a second wonderful visit to Honey Orchard Farm on Valentine's day. It was like going home for us. Carl and Julia are a fabulous couple. The food was fantastic, the company brilliant and more drinks than we can count. We took my son and his finacee with us and they too have fallen in love with this beautiful place. We had the same room as before overlooking the back garden it's very pretty but just as important was hearing the birds in the morning. The rooms were spotless as always. We have booked to go again in September and probably sooner if the mood takes us. Our highest regards to Carl and Julia. See you soon.

Room Tip: The back room overlooks the garden and the front room overlooks the village. Both are lovely

Where do I start? Off the beaten track in the real French countryside sits this amazing little place! We were greeted the traditional French way by an English couple from Brighton/Hove! This is a unique place - if you just want to check in and sleep don't go here, if you want to be social and get on with cats, dogs, ducks, and a cracking couple then DO go here! - The price was excellent, the service outstanding, the food was awesome, the company was cracking!!!

A four course evening meal and a three course breakfast with all the trimmings plus free wi-fi unlimited drinks and private secure parking for 82 euros ( 70 pounds) yes you heard it right! No way you'd get this in the UK.

Carl and Julia prepare your meal to your liking and then sit down and eat with you, chat with you, exchange stories and have a right old laugh. The building is none smoking but Carl will happily stand outside with you and have a smoke and a good old down to earth chat with you (as he did with me).

Granted looking at some of the above reviews, there are only 2 rooms and yes they are small but for the price/package what do you expect - this is a truly unique place. Our radiator wasn't working (in the room) but we were sorted out with an electric radiator so the room would stay warm. Everything we could want we were granted. (anyone who puts a place down due to one radiator not working isn't realistic). Both rooms are en-suite and shampoo/soap etc is provided.

The food is home made, we couldn't finish breakfast as we were still full from dinner!! Vessey is a traditional French village - it's advisible to speak at least some French as it's principally a non English speaking area which only add's to the charm. However Carl & Julia are English so they can assit you there.

This couple are a real couple they are REAL people, and will we be going again? Most deffinetly!! It was unique experience and one that we shall never forget. It's difficult to find if you don;t know the area but that itself is part of the charm - as Ozellucia pointed out above this place really is a hidden gem. And if you know exactly where your going and plan your holiday to the last second it's no fun, part of the unique charm of this amazing place is trying to find it, but when you do it's deffinetly worth it!!!

Room Tip: There are only 2 rooms, but they are both delightful. Miss it Miss out!

On the second day of our road trip through France towards the Loire Valley we stayed at this beautiful B&B run by an English couple Carl and Julia. We found it on the internet and decided we liked the look of it so we booked it. We were not disappointed. It is a lovely house in a quiet village, the kind of place we would like to live in. Julia and Carla made us very welcome. We were given a pretty room, very clean and comfortable, the view over the back garden was so relaxing . We made the aquaintance of the dog, two very mischevious cats, numerous chuntering ducks and we were seranaded by the birds in the trees. It was perfect.

Dinner was a four course meal with as much wine or cider as you could drink. The first course consisted of a delicate quiche much softer than we are used to in England, and salad from their own garden. I don't normally like the quiche but this one was delicious. The main course was a regional dish called Pork Normandie and the dessert was normandie apple tart both of which I could eat again and again, washed down with more wine of course! We ate with Carl and Julia staying up until late into the night just talking and playing music. Where else can you find that? Certainly not in an English B&B.

Wednesday morning at 9am we had a wonderful breakfast consisting of cereals, croissants with homemade preserves, fresh fruit from their garden and yoghurt, tea and coffee, again the food was excellent couldn't fault it or anything else. The surroundings were gorgeous. Bed and breakfast and an evening meal all for 82 euros excellent value for money but Carl and Julia made it a home We will definitely be visiting Honey Orchard Farm again next year, we highly recommend it. If tiny villages off the beaten track and away from the tourists are what you want then go and stay at Honey Orchard Farm it's fabulous
