It is modern with great views from the large balcony. The breakfast was also great and we got a good deal with WOTIF. It has a great pool and spa and an ideal place for a wedding with its lovely gardens and peacuful location.
You can also have a 15 minute stroll into town as it is about 1 and a half kilometres from town.

Room Tip: Get an upstairs room to enjoy the district views

Thank you for your review and we are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay. Our staff have been working very hard on the gardens and they look fantastic at the moment!

My family and i stayed at the Parklands resort over the holidays. We thought it was ok / fine, its only just on the edge of town, only a nice short walk to the shops / markets / parks . There's heaps of space to let the kids run wild. The garden and grass is lovely to sit on and there were some nice shade trees on the grounds The room we were staying in was as expected for a basic motel room. We had no problem with our bathroom like other reviews had said, and it was very hot outside but our air conditioner worked perfectly - it was lovely and cool in our room thank god i imagine they would get very hot and stuffy without one! The room was also nice and clean - no complaints there but i can see what people are refering to in other reviews, the 'resort' does need a re vamp and some regular maintaince! It sort of looks like it had its day but you can see they are fixing it up. The food was very nice - 5 stars there from me. There is a little cafe & shop next door aswell, which is nice. And yeah the staff were extremely nice and welcoming. I don't know about stunning 4 stars, i wouldn't go there for my honeymoon but yeah its great for somewhere to stay. There isn't much better in mudgee, we've stayed a few different places over the years we decided on parklands for its spacious grounds. If you don't want to pay the big money for the 'posh people BnBs and boutique motels' then parklands it is.

stayed recently with the missus for a few nights. have not been to this motel for five years and has certainly improved but ..... fridge not really working in room, shower over bath no good ( irrespective if you pulled the lever on bath nozzle or not, water spouted from both ), no dvd player, no microwave, and beds bloody hard. the cleaners were very helpful and deserve a payrise as they were very nice and nothing was too much trouble.

Lovely green and large grounds large motel . We stayed on a hot new years day. Big dissappointment was the air conditioning not working. They couldnt fix when called because it was electical and it looked like it needed replacing. They did give us a fan, breakfast upgrade and discount. Balcony seat looked good but found it was falling apart and looked too unsafe to sit on.Bird poo along the landings and stairs doesnt make it appealing.
Resturant closed as it was a holiday. I would have thought that would be when it have had many customers.
On the plus side room spacious and clean and full breakfast was good. Price was about what I would expect to pay for a Motel. Staff were helpful and pleasant.
As to the words 'Resort' and 'Quality' in the title they would have to do a bit better to say that!

We stayed here a few years ago and loved it, so on our way home after a well earned holiday we decided to stay again.
This is a large motel and conference centre. The grounds are stunning, but our room was a huge disappointment.
On booking we asked for a queen bed on the ground floor "as I have a back problem" This was made very clear to reception. Ground floor room was provided, but, the shower was a shower head "over the bath" this meant stepping into the bath and as the taps were the old style of 2 taps just above the bath with a knob you pull up to turn the shower on this was for me very difficult especially as the water kept changing temperature and I have difficulty bending over. I would have thought reception would have explained this to us and we would have found a different motel. the shower head also kept falling down .
The bed was a "firm" mattress on a timber frame with wooden slats, not what we would expect in a 4 star motel. Tiles in the bathroom were tired. There was a brass style cover over the light switch in the bathroom that had someone's initials and a number scratched into them. Below was another brass cover that did not quite cover the hole and was also very scratched. There were 2 screws sticking out of the tile wall in the bathroom maybe they use to hold a towel rail ??
The two seater lounge also looked tired. The carpet had a join across it that was starting to fray. The wall as you entered the room had chips in the paintwork and scuff marks on the wall. There were even cobwebs on the cornice and to top things off we got into a "hot" bed ! The electric blanket had been left on, surely the staff making up the room would/should have noticed this and turned it off.
The view from our room was lovely, over looking a small lake and water feature but the underside of the veranda roof needs a good coat of paint, there was a timber setting - two seats and a table style for us to use but again in need of a re coat of stain and worse of all there was a distinct smell of a male cat.
On the up side staff were pleasant and the breakfast and dining room excellent.
From other reviews it seems there are different standards of rooms, so ours must have been at the bottom end, as we were given an RACV discount. We have stayed in far better motels for a lot less, so all in all compared to the other motels we stayed at during this trip, both 3 and 4 star this was a major disappointment and we doubt we will be back.

Room Tip: Ask to see the room before booking in and check you are happy with the bed and bathroom

Thank you for your review. I am aware of the bathroom to which you refer - it was actually one that was renovated immediately after your stay. We have also renovated half our rooms to larger showers rather than shower/baths so that guests will have a choice of facilities.

The rooms were nice and spacious ( bathroom however could do with and upgrade) the setting and views are lovely. Had dinner at the restaurant , food was much better than we thought it would be ,
