Have been visiting to buy the port for many decades. The taste and quality does not disappoint. The tasting room is a step back in time. Old cellar doors open up to a cavernous room of large oak barrels and cedar convent pews. Have always found the cellarman knowledgeable and passionate about the wines and ports.

This winery truly embraced what a winery should feel. I felt as though I was walking back in time to experience true wine tasting with class. I did not feel like I was in a cafeteria like some others. My husband had personally brought me there because I enjoyed the port that he had brought home as a sample. The older gentleman that helped us thru our wine tasting was informative, very lovely and we bought 3 beautiful bottles home with us.

This winery is a must stop for anyone touring through the Mudgee Wineries! Walking to a cool and slightly dark corridor lined with huge old oak barrels it just how a winery should look. There is a nice selection of historical wine making machinery up one end to look at also.

The wine here is of very high quality with a good selection available for tasting. the staff onsite when we were visiting were friendly and knowledgable about the wines, the winery and the region. The fortified wines are definitely the pick for me. The white port is a specialty and a must have is the Pipeclay Vermouth - it tastes just like Christmas!

Loved everything, beautiful setting, fantastic wines (The white port was the best port I have ever tasted) Less then 10 minutes out of mudgee easy to find and get to, rolling hills, amazing vintage cellar and fantastic, friendly service! Will definitely be back

We have visited numerous wineries in many areas over the years and on this three day trip we attended twelve. Dan at this winery was an almost unbelievable wealth of knowledge regarding the wines available, explaining their characteristics in plain, everyday language without the "flowery" descriptions at other venues. Dan was by far the best and most helpful host we have ever encountered at any winery despite the wonderful competition in Australian vineyards.
