Great bush walk. We did with 2 kids (2.5 & 4) and it was manageable for both. Fun to look for wombat holes, admire the rock cliffs and the peacefulness.

We found this place after reading other reviews. It was well signposted after passing Ulan mine. The car park was quite full as some workers had parked there. We came across them building a bridge along the path. The walk is quite easy although there are a couple of climbs through rocky outcrops. All along the way there are little paths to take to the river. We followed the main one though and it is well maintained. Just be careful to stop and admire the view not look at it while you are walking as you could trip. Great photo opportunities along the way! We put the pedometer on our phones so we knew how far we had been/to go. We clocked up about 3.2km round trip. There are some bench seats along the way for those who want a rest and to admire the view on the other side of the river (which is really a very pretty babbling brook). May be different after some rain! You will not be disappointed when you reach the Drip! We spent some time taking in the peace and tranquility and also listening to the drips before returning along the same path. Didn't come across any wildlife but maybe seemed like a good snake place in the warmer months.

This is a fantastic place to visit in Mudgee to get away from it all. You need to have a moderate level of fitness to walk down to the drip but well worth the walk. Take your time. There are Brett Whitely paintings on the right hand side as you walk in. Beautifu;l walk for whole family. Enjoy!
By the way there is a campground which is lovely, however the walk to the drip ius not wheelchair accessable.

This is a great bushwalk - about 3 kms return. Fairly flat but with some scrambling over rocks. The scenery is beautiful and the drip gorge at the end is quite unique. Highly recommended.

I visit regularly - a very special and historically significant site. Keep it safe! A good walk and if you are there in the warmer weather a swim is a great reward at the end
